Re: Brightness/contrast
I think I will edit the ship sets as suggested.
I also will play arround with making grey or off white background. |

As soon as you notice the problem, you can simply change the pictures or even delete them, keeping the directory (the game will employ the neutral shipset). Moreover most players won't appreciate the attempt. I usually change the shipset colour when two empires employ a very similar (or a very dark) one. |
Re: Brightness/contrast
One solution would be to low resolution:
if you running 1024:768, switch monitor to 800:600. All objects (including ships) will appear much bigger. You will have to scroll the main menu bar, but there will be less problems spotting ships. [ 01 April 2002: Message edited by: oleg ]</p> |
Re: Brightness/contrast
I do have bad color vision and do reconize the problems you mention.
I would like to see MM let us change the background colors from inside the program. I wonder if it is possible to change the background file or is it hard coded? I belive the main maps can be modded. I would like to see: The text on the Resources screen changed to white and put at 10pts Courior New, (or other non profortional font). This would help the colums of number line up. Meanwhile I keep al; magnifying glass at my computer and have removed ship sets that are too difficult to see. |
