This is awesome D! It never occured to me to add mounts for non weapons like this. Did you have non-weapon mounts in previous D-Mount mods? If so I must be brain dead too, cause I don't remember them.

How to install is included in the 'readme' but here is a rundown of how to install.

Se4 Gold: Go into your 'Data' folder inside Gold or inside the modd (ie, TDM) that you use and rename your 'CompEnhancement.txt' to '1CompEnhancement.txt', manually move the 'CompEnhancement.txt' file from the Mount Mod into the Data Folder, there you go. To go back to your old (base) se4Gold mounts just reverse the process (rename the new CompEnhacement.txt to '2CompEnhancement.txt' and remove the '1' from the other and 'poof', your old mounts are back.

Previously I just had the Hardened Component Mount, the Next Gen Engine and Weapons mounts I just thought up this week (glad they worked too, was trying to double the supplies but using 1/2 supplies as fuel works better). I suppose you could even 'fake' a Quantum Reactor (or Dilythium (sp?), make a mount that has the engines use 5% normal supplies, that way fuel goes a looonnnggg way.

Yes. What would really be nice is if these mounts could be limited to specfic component types, not just all non weapons. But that would require hard code changes of course. Technically someone could put your low supply engine mount on a remote miner, or a stellar manip comp that also use supplies. Although I think the extra cost would make that a silly thing to do.

Got my butt handed to me by the Aquiliaen (sp?) on Thursday. Glad to see they have Ground Combat fixed (sort of , damn AI invaded and took 3 of my planets within 10 turns http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif ). Drones are interesting (and annoying). Don't really like that they take damage like units (ie, die once full damage is taken, don't lose components like ships, makes Ionic/Tach weapons useless against them.)

Until the next patch Ionic weapons are WAY too powerful!! (no engines=no supplies=DEAD).

I've heard that previously to April spaceempire.org was a reference site for all mods/files, but it has crashed and is now very bare ... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
The PBW site has a much nicer file hosting system (a big table list all files), but is not updated regularly (in fact players put there what they want, it's not really administered).

I've not enough skills and time neither to make a site that'll host current Versions of mods, but it'll be cool ... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

To those who have tried it: What do you like? What don't you like? (ie, what can I improve upon). And does anyone have some 'Mount' ideas they want me to add?
