The "Instant UBB" buttons on the posting form will automatically fill in the codes for different things.

The easiest way to get the URL for a link is to open a second window, go to the thread you want to link to, and copy its URL from the address bar.

If you do, you don't get the forum thread #, you get "<previous thread #> =older" (paraphrased). If you try to post That URL, as soon as the "previous thread" get's bumped, your link will point to a different thread!!! EDIT: The best way I've found to get the thread # you want is to bump the thread. Then the addy will change to show the current thread addy instead of the "#=older" addy
