This is cheating any way you think about it. No two ways around it. Testing mods, AI's, etc don't count.

I have a brother and we were playing together, not Online, but as soon as we met I "honored" our deal and declared war on my ally. However a few turns later signed a treaty and eventually partnered my old ally, sent in a few sun-destroyers and blew my brothers 3 main systems to slag.

Why you ask, because he made fun of my "smaller" fleets, because he had baseships and I was still using dreadnoughts.

Actually, those Dreadnoughts can be more powerful than his Baseships. Set them to max range, and you can out range him. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Baseships are rarely pratical weapons of war.

Moderate-heavy ships, like Battlecruisers and around that size, easily can kill a fully defended baseship.
