GrowlTigga, a Cheese Ball is a mix of ground up cheeses, spices, food coloring, and whatnot (I usually throw in a hefty dose of Dark Rum). It is usually shaped after mixing into an orb, although for special occasions, it may be shaped as virtually anything . Guests (because no one ever makes a Cheese Ball just for enjoying at home by themselves) gather round this Festive Creation and ritually spear and devour it with the provided crackers, breadsticks, and vegetable sticks. Many parties and gatherings are judged by quality and inventiveness of their Cheese Balls, and a purchased Cheese Ball can be a black-eye that may take years for a hostess to overcome. As a rule, no one truly enjoys the texture and flavor of a Cheese Ball, but it is often the only food provided to a ravenous gathering, and must be sampled irregardless of personal preferences. Cheese Balls cannot be ordered at restaurants and are not welcome additions to a sit down meal. They are expected fixtures at Cocktail Parties, Sporting Gatherings, and Office Shin-dings. A good Cheese Ball is thankfully, gratefully, forgotten. A Bad Cheese Ball can be a memory that recurrently haunts one throughout a lifetime. CombatSquirrel |

Re: Report Coming
CombatSquirrel, the cheese ball sounds like meatloaf, breakfast pizzas, quiche and all those panty-waister food types that should be left to congeal in a forgotten compost bin somewhere.
I do like bangers and mash, I also like toad in the hole, bubble and squeak, tripe and onions and sauerkraut. For what is it is worth, due to political correctness and as some people are apparently offended by the name, it is not called Spotted Dick anymore, but Spotted Richard. Likewise, Coq au Vin is now called "Chicken in Wine" and as for the traditional Kentish dish of Muff Pie (being beef in beer in a pie), you just dont see that served anywhere under that name anymore http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |
Re: Report Coming
