Oh and MP games take a REALLY long time to play, and have a bit of work involved in them.

Ok so Tesco Samoa(in april http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif ) , Modulus(if he can find it), and QuarianRex(I think if he doesn't die from sleep deprivation or kill me in a blind rage http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) are "possibles", for around april http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif ..... and rangarock could do the demo...

and Yes I wish they would "fuse" the two together, I like the fuel model, and the Resourses, the minerals adds a little realism. But I think they shoulda had a separate "research" resource, like build labs instead of devoting factories to reserch. and maybe set it up so the facilities take up the same slots, so you could build mines instead of factories and, later scrap thaem and put factories in place of the mines.

Just out of curiosity what are your faveorite/most hated Racial traits? I like war monger, Super Stealth, and Interstellar Traveller, and Alernate reality and Jack of all trades are fun to play as. But I hate Space demo., packet physics and Hyper expansion races, I can never play them right. I've ignored Inner strength and claim adjuster all together. For lesser traits I take Improved fuel efficiency and no ramscoops, you have to build more fuel Xports but I like going warp 10 for almost half the research points. And depending on the main trait I might take No Advanced scanners, you know that if you take that if there is a penatraitng scanner in your racial traits you can stilluse it, very good with packet physics, super stealth and jack of all trades. I ALWAYS take improved starbases.

If the Demo is compatible with the full Version, then i'd be up for some Multiplayer action.

I'm still going through the Tutorial (bigger than SEIV's isn't it?) so I haven't decided wether to buy it or not, but considering I shelled out the cash for MOO3, I probably will again http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

The main StarMap reminds me of the maps in the Honor Harrington novels (anyone else notice this?).

Rabbitoids...Hehehe... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

It says the Demo is compatible with the full Version, but you'll be limited to tech level ten and the default races the game comes with. this wouldn't matter much in a blitz game since the universe is small and conflict would be early, but once the players withthe full Version get missiles it's all over. I supose we could all DL the demo and play with that, It can host games, just with limited options.

I played Stars once. There was way too much needless micromanagement in it.

Ok for all you with the demo, I just found out although you can't create new races you can load them, so I or someone else can make a race fitting your specifications and send it to you, and you can load it and play with it.

EDIT: where can I get Version J? I had it but lost it. I'm not sure where I put the file that I got that patches it...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, it can get out of hand, particularly with some races. If you keep the galaxy size down to medium, things stay much more fun.

Thanks Solops, I just got the upgrade now. How about a 1 vs. 1 "Tiny", "packed" universe blitz, with us set "distant" apart?

Also,
Max minerals
Accelerated BBS play
Galaxy clumping
Public player scores

You wana try it? We could put a few comp players to make stuff interesting. I'll be upgrading my copy and perfecting a race, while I await your answer.

And do you want to host or shall I.
