Here's another suggestion that I implemented in my latest game (ConventionalWarfare_1_49). Restrict Trade-generating relationships to two per player. I find this has made people much more careful about how they make and break alliances, as well as stopping massive trade income and almost-dead 'zombie' empires with huge 'virtual' trade revenues.

I have never ran into that problem with trading empires... Seems all my games break down to wars quite quickly

Ok, I have never played it multiplayer, dont ask me why I havent earlier.

I did register for the Game, and well, used Jordanian Empire as a name ... had no clue what to take.
Ive read the faq on pbm site, but I'm not a 100 percent sure on anything yet.
Do I need to create my Empire, and send to you?
And the empire images, can those be the standard ones?

Ive read all the rules and so forth, and hope Someone will soon ally me under protectorate treaty http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

If anyone can give me any info I need to do this .. maybe where I can read good detail of how this is going to work I will apprecieate very much. Ive got till 25th I believe to get everything ready, and hope to be long done before then.

Did anyone reply to TrXtR privately about his questions? Assuming not, here are some answers.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You need to upload your empire to the seiv site, rather than send to the host. He will get them all as a package using admin options that you cannot see.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Using the standard pictures - you can do so, but still select them as you upload your empire - they will be under 'Stock Shipset XXX'. This is so other players know what you're using and can avoid a clash.

My suggestion to you, if you have not already done so, is to play a simultaneous-movement game against the computer before joining this one. The mechanics are quite different.

Oh, and once you are playing, its generally not a good idea to confess newbie status - you might get fried by some ruthless bastard.... like me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif
