<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hey, that gives me an idea... Move all your population into a transport located on the star, then have them all scream like schoolgirls... this will lure all the Hentai Tentacle Monsters from several parsecs around, then move the transport away at full speed... the monsters, being stupid as they are, will not notice a transport traveling at full warp speed and will instead form a protective shield around the star and contain the explosion http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

Build a ringworld or sphereworld around it.

That's it.

And yes it will destroy all planets and ships in the system.

Good Luck!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There is actually another way to stop a star from naturally exploding: You have to use this device called the Save/Load feature, and transport the universe to a time before it was discovered the sun would explode. An alternate reality will play out, and the star will never get a 'Plasma Instability http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif (Pshaw, it's not cheating, I call it 'being resourceful' http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif )

You confuse me, Terran. I was able to manipulate the time-space line using save/load megaspel http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif The key is to find the right moment the RNG (THE ALMIGHTY RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR) is called upon.
