Unmodded stealth armor blocks both active and passive... Odd.

I was sure it was active.

In any event you'll need to research the armor tech to block it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It' always been that way in unmodded AFAIK. Everything but mines gets passive and active scanning at level 1 by default, so otherwise, stealth armor would never work.

New Question, I just found Robe Goldberg Technology on a planet's ruins. I; unfortunatly, see nothing that this technology offers me nor is there new technology to research as a result.

Is there something I am missing?

Those would be dud ruins. They appear as normal ruins, as giving a planet ruins with 0 tech levels does not cause the ruins icon to appear on them, so you know where the duds are. So, I gave SJ the idea of making dummy techs for the dud ruins, and that is the tech he decided to use. It should do absolutely nothing, as it is a dud. It creates empty ruins, which are a good thing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I once saw ruins on asteroids in a P&N game, but I deleted it. Is this common or unusual ?

Its unusual but intended.
Building a planet would destroy the ruins, too.
