fyron do not put a silencer on my horn. I can only toot it so much, else it becomes back ground noise and easy to filter.
Also I take offence to you putting down my maps. I have invested time in making them. I enjoyed making them. If you do not like them then comment on what you do not like about them. Do not dismiss all of them at once as a random one off generated map. |

Tesco, no offense was meant. What I meant was that a map from scratch is a tremendous amount of work, whereas an edited random map is not much work in comparison.

So does this mean we can play the map for the PBW game? If so, are the orions well placed, a la ST:OS? (that is to say, right along the neutral zone, which is basically equidistant from the Fed, Klingon and Rom spheres of influence)

Can tell me what Version of the planet images you use when making this map?
I've found I'm having problems with my map such that when I load the new planet image pak now my map has tons of bogus images. I found the same thing with your map. I loaded it and some things clearly had the wrong image. (this was confirmed when I clicked the image and the game crashed :-( ) PS Cool map!! |

It should just be with the Star Trek Mod. Try getting the full copy of the latest planet image mod pack again? Maybe you are missing some images from it?

HAHA Sucess!. Put the SectType.txt from Fryons Qudrant mod deluxe into the trek mod and the map looks ok.

Well after messing around with things I suspect the problem occured because Atrocities saved the SectTypes.txt using SE4Modder. This causes some of the items to be saved in a different order. (ie all planets get saved first) This does not seem to matter at all if you play a game and generate a new map but it would appear the saved maps must have a SectTypes.txt file that is exactly the same as when the map was created. Who knew!? I haven't tested it but I assume a saved map would work with a new SectTypes.txt as long as all new entries were added at the end of the file.

The STM should have the SectType.txt from FQM Deluxe in it though, as AT incorporated FQM Deluxe. I made a few number changes to some WP entries in the latest 2.05, so that might cause some issues, but I do not think it would. There are the same number of entries, so it should be ok.

To the best of my knowledge, I made no changes to the Star Trek map. I simply downloaded the latest Version and placed it in the STM. Then zipped the file and uploaded it.
I will work on the problem and see if I can get it to work. Sorry about his guys, the map is awsome and I know a lot of you have been dying to play it with the mod. |

It's just the secttype.txt file - it's missing many entries that the previous Version of the mod had perhaps due to the SE4modder as DavidG mentioned. If you have a copy of 1.2.0 mod, you can replace the file in 1.2.5 to fix the problem...
