dont know none of them by name lol .. im talkin about the all green bugs kinda looks like a praying mantis head all green . the ships look green an black ...

not the green and grey guys that look like ants ..

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Which number is this shipset in the selection? They are ordered alphabetically, so you will be able to find out what shipset it is by finding their position in the list and then looking at your shipsets directory.

I concur with Fyron on this one, we should definitively not take 5,000 racial points. It would make things much easier, but where is the challenge in designing your race then? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif And yes, that's definitively much harder than making an Empire in the vanilla game.

ill have a look for a more phisical looking one tonight, the taera look better with an organic race anyway.

sorry, its just that most the games I am in seem to be in some kind of limbo for one reason or another.
my own two games are running slow due to ameracans thanks giving.

ratha is away, and that game is getting interesting.

there are two other games that only need one more player to upload his turn
*glowers at dogscoff and mathias ice*

large game min start has always had slow players, im not doing to well in that game ether, I forgot to reserch on the first turn *doh!*

but this adamant mod looks interesting!

Perhaps you could give the KotH league a try if you do like faster paced games? (Or rated games, or any other one-to-one game) They can go quite fast if both players are available at the same times, I finished a game (50 turns or so) with Slynky in less than two days, while we aren't even in the same time zone. But I digress from the topic.

Only one of the games I have hosted has fallen into limbo, and that one was using Proportions mod. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

If you have a game on Auto turns, the waiting on players is a null issue. Players dropping out is still an issue, but there is little you can do with that. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Well... it is a "beta testing" game for Adamant Mod, so RP is not really required... good to do, ofc, but not the emphasis. It will have new turns whenever I can process them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif This is because with frequent updates to the mod being necessary during the testing, so having Geo update the mod every few turns on PBW is not practical. I was thinking more around 48 hours than 24. But if the players play quickly, I can make new turns more quickly.

I don't mind if you join. If you wish to, please create your empire file now, so we can get started as soon as PBW is back. The game settings are on page one.

OK, I'm in. I've never played Adamant before so I have to become familiar with it a bit first. Should I pick a certain race or trait?

If you run turns manually why the game should be in PBW?

Make sure to check out the Help folder in Adamant, especially the Empire Setup file.

A number of mirrors are rather outdated. This page is the official home of the image mod and it has the latest files:

The SE.net mirror is the only mirror that is completely up to date.

I really need to update the PHP script on my mirror to display the files better... I think it displays them in order by date or something...

Well the one I did not look at... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Looks like SJ lost the update with all the Rise of Nations buildings... that is quite necessary for Adamant, as many Magic race facilities use those images. So you will need the Facility Pack 10. I shall inform SJ that his site is out of date.

Shouldn't you modify the Adamant mod link in Kazharii Network Hub to point http://adamant.spaceempires.net? No need to have two copies, especially when the other is outdated.

The thing is, the table with the files is dynamically generated via PHP from the files in a specified folder... so it organizes them in whatever order it reads them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif I wonder how to make a dynamic array in PHP... hmm...

If I remember right all arrays in PHP are dynamic. The sorting isn't difficult, just save the filenames to arrays instead of printing them. Then sort the array, there's lots of build-in sorting functions in PHP.

That is not the problem... I need to keep track of 5 variables for each file, and then sort that according to the filename or title (and possibly even be able to sort according to any of them). I have been trying to use a class, but can not get anything to work. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif And I don't want to use a database; all this data comes from reading in files from a directory.

Looks like mines are quite powerful in Adamant, even the best mine layer sweeps only one mine. Or is there something I haven't noticed?

Far too cheap and easy to sweep any minefield in stock... 5 LC with MS II is all you need.

Well, that's true. In stock I have used mines only to prevent early attacks and operation of single cloaked ships.
