The day that happens I will change my name to Mr Wubbles, but he would have to crop out the reflection, or I would have to get a head on shot of Tom. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I have lost a friend today.
http://www.nascow.com/jpegs/Ernie2.jpg 1990 - Apr 23, 2004 Rest in peace, my little friend. And dream of slow mice. |
Re: The cats of SE4G

Re: The cats of SE4G
Dark Horse:
I feel very sorry to learn about your friend. I really LOVE cats (I share my house with eleven of them!) and I feel very sad when I see a suffering cat, let alone to know about it no longer with us... I like all animals, but I donīt know exactly why, cats are my favourite by far... Letīs think he and all other cats are in a better place! |
Re: The cats of SE4G
I'm sad for you darkhorse, It must be hard to see an old friend leaving. Cats are great, but they live their live too fast...
BTW guys, I 've never shown you my two domestic tigers : http://cybereb.free.fr/mariage/mariage/topazes.jpg http://cybereb.free.fr/mariage/mariage/topaze.jpg This one is not exactly a tiger, it's much more like a big nice marmot... It's a birman cat (recent french race) http://cybereb.free.fr/mariage/mariage/rudys.jpg http://cybereb.free.fr/mariage/mariage/rudy.jpg This one is a typical norwegian forest cat. He has lost lots of hair since I live in the french riviera (a bit too warm for his fur)... |
Re: The cats of SE4G
If you love cats you should join the Cat Forum.
http://www.catforum.com You get to upload pictures of your cats. http://www.catforum.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=1514 |
Re: The cats of SE4G
No other cat pictures ? I'm sure that, near any amateur artist, there's a cat living...
|
Re: The cats of SE4G
The cat forum is a good place to visit and upload your pictures too.

Re: The cats of SE4G
I could submit some pictures of my kittens, but one is pregnant at the moment and AWAKE.
I will submit them later when the fear of losing valuable typing fingers is minimal... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif |

LOL, Bad wording on my part....
Better close this window, the actual father is looking at me with contempt only a cat can manage and is currently decimating the scratching post. I'll report back when I've removed it's claws from my forearm! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif [ May 18, 2004, 16:48: Message edited by: Raging Deadstar ] |

Bump for the loss of one of my cats, Sea, who died in a tractor accident a week ago. Before you ask, he was run over by my dad who was driving a tractor...I guess the idea of big tire crushing fragile skull just didn't occur to him. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: The cats of SE4G
Thanks Atrocities. I'm someone who loves cats, so it's especially painful when one dies, especially in an accident like this one.
|
Re: The cats of SE4G
Not sure it applies but cats on a farm are usually good sense. They're more of useful animal instead of a pet (though that doesn't mean people don't get attached to them). Cats in a more domestic setting (which is what I'm used to) have a bad habit of crawiling under the car in the driveway or near the motor when they are left outside and its cold. Cats just "get in the way" sometimes and require an "extra eye".
I no longer let my cats go outside (and haven't done so for over 20 years). Sorry to hear of your loss. Nice name, BTW. Unique. |
Re: The cats of SE4G
Losing a pet really hurts. Sorry for your loss. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
|
Re: The cats of SE4G
Thank you, both of you.
Slynky, you're right. They are a useful ranch animal, they keep the mice out of the grain (and out of the house). But yeah, it's kinda hard to not become attached to them. |
Re: The cats of SE4G
Reminded me of my cat who was a farm cat, well kitten I suppose, before we got her. It was just ridiculous seeing a tiny ball of fluff on top of a huge pile of hay bales jump down to the floor then walk off unconcerned.
Mind you I think she must of mucked up at least one of those landing as she's not the world's brightest. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |
