BTW Graeme, are you planing to switch on 24h quickhost after the first turn, or we are going to stay on 48 quickhost for the duration of the game?

Is there going to be any way to check if the turn has hosted or not, short of connetcing there using Dom2 client? (automatic emails notifications or new turns announcement on this thread or whatever?)

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">I think it would be great, since it is faster and more convinient to check the thread in the forum than to start and close dom2 client every time when you want to check the game status during its 48hours turnaround.

Marignon did miss his turn, but everyone else made it. We are now on turn 2, and if Marignon doesn't make this one, I'll set him to AI.

It's my first MP game, and I didn't know about the IP entered by numpad bug. I managed to connect to the game now, and have submitted orders for turns 2 and 3.

I vote for an email at each turn generation. Shouldn't be any harder than posting here that a new turn was generated. That way I don't need to worry about finding and checking the post.

We've now hosted turn 3. I'll be upgrading to Version 2.12 as long as no Utgard type bugs show up.

Whatever is easier for you. I was just saying since you were going to have to manually post in the thread that the turn was generating, it wouldn't be to different from manually sending an email.

You could create an address group for the game, or simply reply to all on the sent message that contained the game information.

Again... no big deal either way. I can keep an eye on thread.

Are we updating to the patch?

Also is the server down? I can get on the 11111 port game but not on this one port 5555?

This game is updating to the patch immediately, as at least one turn was sent in with Version 2.12.

That was why you could only get at the 11111 game.

It does, however, I will be away this weekend, so I pretty much have to let it run it's course. If he does miss his turn again then I'll have to set him to AI.

Just something that made me laugh at myself.

Last turn Vanhiem attacked into my water province. So when I saw the turn I was quite suprised. I started thinking of the message I would send to him. I said to myself this guy sure is aggressive attacking Atlantis underwater so early. So I wrote out my message in Wordpad first trying to be diplomatic and such. There must have been a power outage in my building over the weekend. The server is now back up, and should be working fine now.
