Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
ok my Last post here; I am back at my computer; will get the game generated and out within the next couple of hours. Game is full now.
My honestly-felt regrets to all who feel that the settings/map/general deal is not their first choice. best to all EDIT: does anyone know how to transfer Email-Adresses put in a little email-adress-folder-thingy from one computer to the other? I use Outlook Express on a Windows 98 machine, and am technologically challenged. Merci [ April 14, 2004, 09:53: Message edited by: tinkthank ] |

On your Windows 98 machine, open Outlook Express, click on File, click on Export, click on Address Book, choose a file type and click Export.
Then copy the file created and transfer it your other computer and import it into the mail progam you use on your other computer. |

Yea! Glad to see the game is underway!

Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
Oi. Alright, I'm playing Caelum, but my Pretender keeps getting stuck. I've sent it to a third party, who'll hopefully pass it along. I'm working on setting up another address that, hopefully, won't go directly to the spam folder. -_-; Terribly sorry if I'm holding things up.

Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
I am the "third party" and I have forwarded the file as requested. However, if it is a pretender file, then it's too late as the game has started.
I would not vote against a restart, however, since I received a starting position that probably should have been designated #nostart in the mapfile. |
Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
Sorry for the confusion and problems, I put ashes on my head....
Duncanish, I have received your pretender -- I messaged you that I did so, so there must be a missing link somewhere, hence my post here. Could you let me know if you get my email now? If you can start the game, see if you can see if Caelum actually *is* your pretender. A kind soul has helped me figure out how to remove you from my spam list. As to Zapmeister's bad starting position -- argh I feel bad. I will send out an email query. Otherwise, I have gotten 8 turns in now. best to all |
Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
Hmm, not nearly enough chatter here...
Whats wrong, everyone afraid of some dead fish? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif |
Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
Does one usually chatter here?
Well I suppose there is not enough yet going on.... I have gotten a few mails from people asking about when I will send out a new turn -- sorry, cant help that, I am still waiting for 2hs to come in -- actually, for only 1, from Pangaia. Sorry folks, it looks like we wait for the Last one! best to you! |

The reason I ask is that it's not unknown (quite common, in fact) for players to evaporate without warning, even at turn 1. |

Chatter? How about a harangue? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
Rejoice! Osraac, Queen of the Morning, has descended from the Uppermost Heavens so that all the people of this world may bask in her glory! She is the soft wind that dries the tears of children. She is the storm that rends the faces of those wretched fools who would live ignorant of her embrace. She is the fire that burns in the Houses of Justice, ready to sear the flesh of heathens and idolaters! The racks of the Holy Inquisition are ready to guide strays back to Her embrace, and the gleaming blades of the Paladins eager to teach those who would dare to offend Her with blasphemous utterances to false gods and unholy demons. This world is Her's by right, and we, the Chosen People of Marignon, are the vessel through which this Glory will be visited upon you all. Luigi, High Inquisitor, Prophet of Osraac |

What's this? Some fire wench proclaiming herself? Last we checked water drowns out fire every time... squish... hmm well let these "Chosen People" believe in their petty flames for the time being, soon enough the seas will rise and the tides will turn... squish... squish... Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
Luigi, under the tutelage of his brother Mario, has studied the strange craft known to some as "plumbing", and he is quite capable of dealing with watery problems. So no worries here.

Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
(apologies to those that may have read this on DomX)
"What's up, Fatso?" Snoutlofty, King of Lizards for All Time or Until We Recruit Another One, strode into the Inner Sanctum of the High Temple of C'tis to stand before the subject of his religion, where he proceeded to study the claws on his right maw with indifference. "That's Wondrous Fatso, Mother of EveryBody Especially You, to you! Show some respect for your God, Reptile! What news of the other nations of our land?", replied the Imposing Presence before him. "Well, we know that Marignon is out there, and so is Ermor. There's rumours of Pangaea, Atlantis and Arcoscephale as well. We don't know much about them, except that they all have better troops than us." "Better troops? Nonsense! Call out the Emerald Guard!", bellowed the would-be god. Snoutlofty raised his eyes to the ceiling and sighed. "Your Obesity, this is C'tis. No decent heavy infantry, no decent archers, no morale and no clue" (much like their god, he muttered inaudibly). "If you're serious about this ascension thing, you would have been better off with anyone else. Except Mictlan, of course. Now, will there be anything else? Just a moment - you're pregnant! Have you been dallying with the Lord of Fertility again? How are you going to go trampling with a bun in the oven, you dumb god?". The Mother of Everybody turned a puce shade of crimson and dismissed her prophet. Maybe C'tis was a bad choice. Still, anyone that can recruit those super multi-headed hydra things can't be ALL bad. Fatso smiled smugly. |

No, no those fire lovers would probably want us smoking in their ash trays... Squish... Hmm well, maybe, "Welcome to our sea, notice there's no 'P' in it... please keep it that way" Hmm, squish... yes that's better... Squish... damn all those pipes lead to where!!!!? Squish, indeed, such an insult shall not be tolerated, Squish... lets see what we can do to plug up these land lubbers pipes... squish... |
Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
There is no need to worry, Death will find you, wherever you are, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here
