i am here the whole saturday normally .
but with a 80% chance ( depending on weather ) i will be not there around 2-3 hours in the afternoon / early evening to play tennis .

question : at mohansens server can we play the game there ?
is it possible to do our blitz hosting there on saturday and then change to a 24h or whatever you want schedule ?

sorry for off-lining for a while.

norfleet, if you really could host our game, that would be wonderful. because im having little problems with my linux installation. victory conditions for the game have been posted earlier. it is supposed to start next saturday (10th of july) afternoon.

if i can get the server running properly ill host the game myself.

Hi, I just registered on the forums right now. Is it possible for me and my friend Bud to play in those Last two spots?

And to double confirm it is human players not human pretenders right?

If the two spots are available, Bud will choose Man and I will choose Mictlan if those choices are ok.

Another question...the initial meet up on july 10th what time in GMT is that? Bud and I are GMT -5.

I strongly doubt it will make a difference beyond the first day, since the game is 24h and quickhost: Unless people are AWOL and staling, you're not going to get a regular time: Just check in every 24 hours and you won't stale.

To upload my pretender I just go to kludgemush.com for the ip address and put 10275 for the port number then pick Mictlan?

The reason I asked about the time because I am not sure if they wanted to do a lot of turns by getting everyone together on Saturday then put it on a 24 hour hosting afterwards?

i checked uploads just minute ago. only four have uploaded wannabe gods. and yes it is supposed to start today. saturday. GreenwichMeanTime 15.00. gmt -5 is 10.00 am, so you might be still a sleep aku.

NORFLEET if your reading this. famous people list or what da **** it is. put it 15 instead of 10. this is very IMPORTANT.

The forum finally loaded up for me. It has been down for like two days. Bud(Man) and I(Mictlan) have our pretenders made but can't upload yet because we are at public computers and I decided to check the forum to see if it would load. Excluding the four uploaded pretenders, bud and me make 6 people, any contact with the remaining two players? We could possibly start later today when contact is established with everyone.

May I suggest we reorganize to play around gmt 20:00 due to the forum downtime or start tomorrow if we can organize everyone possibly?

If we are setting for daily or whatever we are doing at a set time could it be like mid afternoon or evening...mornings suck.

Or possibly put it on quick host? That way you can stop in every now and then and do a turn. Would probably let us do several turns a day. I bet we could go through at least 20 turns in an hour if it is possible to organize 8 people for one time. The forum going down for two days messed up communication a lot.

i made same kinda mistake with man.. my opinion of atlantis is to close it for good. no need for any extra nations in this map.

While I should be able to make this I do think it is a bit harsh on anyone who is out of communication & also would hate to start with AI nations as they are destabilising.

I think we ought to start next weekend, regretably, or just start with 24h deadlines & quickhost so we get as many turns done by next weekend as we would if we waited.

I am confident that I can manage twelve hour hosting. Also I believe I have now uploaded my pretender but since this is the first network game I have succesfully managed to play I am not sure so if someone would double check for me it would be greatly appreciated. I also have another question which is, is there some way to stop another player from going and overwritting your pretender for your nation in a network game?

I am not too sure because this is a first for me as well but I am almost positive your pretender is loaded up because it says caelum is controlled by a human player now. Hmm I went to test the override thing and when you select a nation it asks you if you wish to override it. Now will it actually do it if you hit ok...I am not sure. I don't know if the admin has to delete the pretender or if it will actually let you override. I think everyone here is their first time on multi except norfleet but he is just hosting.

If you hit okay after trying to upload into an occupied slot, it will overwrite the existing pretender with yours.

Thanks for the info Norfleet. I will tell my friend also that he can just overwrite the current Man prentender that shouldnt be there. Then all we need is JDScherrey to upload their vanheim pretender and we are set.

Vergoot. Once everyone's up, just let me know, and I'll put the game on 24h/quickhost with the settings below.

To avoid confusion, it'd be nice if drool restated what settings he wanted again, so I don't have to dig them out of the spamscroll and risk being confused by something somebody else said.
