Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

I'm sorry. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif My mistake.
I didn't mean to imply you were slow. If the game is 24h quickhost, you may use 24h. No one can be required to do a turn every 2 hours.

I just thought it was funny that everyone was so eager for the turn.

Goodie, time to do another.

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Reverend, would you set the game to 96h quickhost?

Everyone, feel free to do your turns daily anyways.

reverend December 23rd, 2004 09:12 AM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

96h QH? Let's just set it to pure Quickhost until you've all recovered from New Year's. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

(If you don't mind the suggestion. I'll be on a LAN-party from 27.12. to 30.12. so I won't be able to slow it down or pause it, better be on the safe side and just let it host whenever the turns are in until 2005.)

Yeah that's fine as well.

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Happy Agnositca and all folks.

I was trying to check in around 8PM eastern time and a transient connection problem I've been having got worse. From what it sounds like, I'm in no danger of missing a turn. But, reverend, if there were any server problems around 8pm, please drop a line on the Bugs thread. That would confirm my guess, that the timeout isn't working.

Hey all, there is a good chance, some one will have to sub for me cause, my mom messed up my computer so I got pissed at her, and now shes pissed at me, so she might confiscate my interent/computer. If i stale 2-3 turns, have some one sub for me.

Yes. Here and in other games.

Hm. Would it be immoral to take his provinces while he is mysteriously missing? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Ah well, I havent the forces to spare now that Ctis has attacked.

I just took my Turn 29 and will be back Tuesday. Please stretch out Turn 30 so I don't miss it.

Thanks,

Ugh. Not only am I (Pythium) stuck in a small corner, but now Bogus shows up and grabs one of my best provinces.

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

I'll be moving, so I might have problems making my turns. I don't know wether I'll stale some, we'll see. I don't think I will.

The_Tauren13 January 22nd, 2005 11:24 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Gotta love how we all finish our turns with over 20 hours to spare and now we have to wait the whole time, just so pangaea can stale...

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

i think nappa playing pangeae is gone
if he has a nation to play then we should find a sub
if not set him to AI
he has stalled in fools 3 and has been set to AI (or he did it i do not know).

reverend February 2nd, 2005 08:19 AM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Ok. I'd say, try and find a sub until the weekend, if not, let me know and I'll set him to AI.

rylen February 4th, 2005 12:15 AM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Hey,

I was planning on giving Pangea notice and attacking a few turns later. Is it fair to attack just as a sub comes in? If so, how long should I wait? I'm writing this on turn 38. Unless we say otherwise (or the situation changes), my troops roll on turn 43. Acceptable?

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

no sub?
well i guess next host set to AI?
pity

reverend February 6th, 2005 09:46 AM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Since there's no sub, I set Pangaea to AI.

ckfnpku February 6th, 2005 10:41 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Unfortunately, our game has been rather boring. So in order to stir the kettle, and/or end my misery, I hereby declare war on the world.
Regarding my diplomatic agreements, those will be honored and war will commence at their completion, ie in 3 turns with affected parties.

The_Tauren13 February 7th, 2005 12:20 AM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

I think the boredoms main cause is the incredibly slow pace at which this game is proceeding. Setting Pangaea to AI should help.

rylen February 8th, 2005 03:29 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Triple yikes. I guess I won't be fighting Pangea. I stand ready to defend my borders in 3 turns.

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

It's moot, really, since I cannot play. I don't have a computer I can play on.

RonD February 9th, 2005 01:44 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Bummer. Will you be back, are do we need to have you set AI?

RonD February 11th, 2005 01:20 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

Hmmm - ckfnpku's lack of response is a bad sign. Anyone else have a preference for how long we wait before asking to have him set AI?

It makes little tactical difference to me, as I'm on the opposite side of the map from all the staling/abandoned nations.

ckfnpku February 13th, 2005 03:37 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

I'm sorry. I realize it is very bad manners to drop out of my own game. But I cannot make my turns http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif You should set me AI.

Sigh. I wonder how the AI will squander all the ice devils and arch devils.
Not that I had put them to much use.

reverend February 13th, 2005 04:46 PM

Re: New(b) game: Borrowed time

You're Marignon, right?

If you can still access the game, you could set yourself AI. Otherwise I will do it later tonight.

This one has been 2.15 since maybe turn 3.
