Re: OT: Archery in combat
This is getting OT:OT here. I agree it's an interesting discussion, but methinks ye should just revert back to Ye Olde Subject of this here Thread every Once in a While...

Re: OT: Archery in combat
OK then: a guy with a medieval longbow vs a modern aircraft carrier. Who would win? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif
I guess you could swim up to the carrier with your longbow on your back, try to sneak aboard and then stick the crew one by one. Or maybe convince one of the fighters to launch a missile at you... while you're standing on the carrier's bridge. |
Re: OT: Archery in combat
Depends on the person...
Rambo with those explosive arrows would win easily. |

Re: OT: Archery in combat
It could be an attempt to link the 'arrow' project with patriotism. I don't really have much experience at interpreting the meaning of others.

Re: OT: Archery in combat
Broken Arrow! That would do the trick. It could easily destroy a Nimitz aircraft carrier, fighters or not.

Re: OT: Archery in combat
In the Robin Hood Spoof Men In Tights, Robin Hood to win the Archery contest used an arrow that flew all over the place, sky, everywhere then blew the target to dust. It was labelled the "Patriot Arrow"
I assume thats where the Patriot Arrow remark came from.... Rasorow |

Oh, THAT. It's been years since I saw that movie.

Re: OT: Archery in combat
I agree. When did that movie come out? 1993? A very funny movie. Now that it has been mention, I want to go and watch it. Carey Elwes is a funny man. Although, how long has it been since he has been in a movie?
