@GriffinOfBuerrig, Would it be possible to skip hosting this saturday (19/09)?- I'm afraid it's very likely that I won't be able to play. Maybe instead of 24h set the timer to 36h or 48h?

I will post what I can off it for people. A shame though I was the first to go. Figures, the one who organizes the big anti-Ermor alliance is the first to bite the dust, from Jotunheim no less! <grumbles happily>

Hey Arholly, that was really a good game. The best die young.

Your Archmage would have make terrible things in late game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Power of the eye - Starting

Yeah, it really helped in finding sites. It's why my gem production ramped up so quickly. It also helped me make items (like anti-undead crossbows my assassins were getting equipped with).

Of course, my allies got all my gems before I died, so that was ok.

I'm sure some of my allies were surprised to receive 25 gems each early on. And it was nice to have allies that quickly. I will still watch here for interesting happenings.

Re: Power of the eye - Starting

Don't know if it's waiting on the host or not, but I took my turn, and I was the last player for this turn, yet it still shows it's waiting for Marignon to take his turn, even though we got the message he was vanquished.

Any reason why the game isn't hosting yet? I was hoping to play my turns back to back.

It was waiting for me. I hopped on, read the message I had been demolished 8) and logged off. Might want to set me to AI now.

Not necessary - I think it is always just an effect of the last turn, before you are dead.

New turn guys http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I was the last to take the turn and while I was starting it I accidently pressed the 'e' button http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
This accursed feature caused me to lose that turn...
I might as well add this to the wish list to ask the devs to add a confirmation window for this.

Oki: Jotunheim is nearly dead after a straight attack from Arco with his Pretender.

Emor is busy with Ulm, Man and RŽley and is doing well http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Jotunheim is pretty much done for, and I am ready to move on Ermor. Hopefully, the armies of Arco can turn the tide.

Dibs on Jotunheim for the rematch.

Update for Arholly- My forehead is all bloody

...from smacking it into Ermor repeatedly. I marched to his capitol, knocked down the wall, and got throught the gate....but lost >: We did kill 17 leaders, mostly or entirely mound kings and sages. Apparantly this ticked him off 'cause he stopped resarch and sent all his mages out to chase me. He's pushed me all the way back int othe sea and is now besieging my capitol.

Irish stand down with the undead = very poor plan, hehe.

Maenwhile Arco, Ulm and Pythium are doing well.

new turn is up

Another new turn is up.

Ermor is dying a slow death it seems. Arco is sieging his capital, and Rlyeh is right outside, ready to take over if Arco fails. Then I'm next in line.

Step right up, take a whack at Ermor. Come one come all. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Re: new turn is up

I gave orders for last turn this morning from my desktop.
I wanted to change one of my mages script so I've accessed the server from my laptop.
But when I've accessed it from my laptop I couldn't see any of the orders I gave this morning. So I did "quit w/o saving".
I wonder at two things.
First, if that's normal behavior or does that signify some error in giving the orders that might result maybe in a stale turn?
The second is whether or not accessing the server from one computer, giving orders then accessing from another computer resets the turn?- If that is the case then I need to replay the turn, Which sadly I can't do. At least not until tomorrow morning, when I'll have access to my desktop at home.

Any information or insight on the subject is most welcome http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

It seems that on your laptop in your Power_of_the_eye folder is NO *.2h file, am i right? If thats that way nothing has changed. IF there is a 2h file i have no idea http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Re: new turn is up

there's a .2h file but it's from last month. I suppose that means that no orders for the host were issued from the laptop today. Which works fine for me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

What's Ermor still doing around, is he trying for a comeback or something? Nah... that's not going to happen (I hope).

I believe Man was terribly hurt this last turn. After walking through some of my territory, his army (that included his god and prophet), met a stronger force, and both perished to my Ulmish defense.

Now Arco, on the other hand, I need to watch out for. A tougher nut to crack.

Yea, you really got my balls there. But I am still struggling (and that hurts http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/redface.gif ).

Actually the main reason why my army failed so miserably was that my Air 10 pretender was 'muted' by the BoT - thanks again for that, Griffin. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

I've seen something weird this last turn.
I got a message that Arco has cast a global spell, wrath of god.
But then I noticed two strange things. First, I had no casualties from it and second it didn't appear in the list of globals.

How come???

BoT is bad enough but the real killer is the global darkness spell, can't recall it's name. Now that's some real trouble to the live nations.
