Can you actually see the messages you have sent from your own turn? As I understand it, you'd need the good Reverend's turn for that! I guess you could see from the .2h file the number of messages that have been sent, but not what their content is, for what that's worth.

You have a point there. So if neither the host nor Reverend had saved the turn then there's no way to prove this (other then seeing that I did send a message). I've learnt my lesson then, next time either PM or email, as the in game messaging system is somewhat unreliable (albeit under those quite rare circumstances).

Oh, it's probably possible to hack the .2h file to find the exact message (even if its in binary format, usually strings are saved as are), so actually there should be a way to prove it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I think ermor might want to kill me, we have a wide border, hes massing troops beside me and dosnt reply to my mesages.

I guess that means I better mass some monks, for when he gets to me.

It is just too easy to overlook the little mail marker at the top of the forum; sometimes it might be better to send an in-game message, but I think we had this discussion before. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

It is true that you have a nice, long, open border with my territory. I have not yet made my mind up on what to do and have not committed myself to any cause.

In the long run, I only care about what is happening to Man (our land of death and decay has never been a fan of these animal loving Woodmen).

Update: I have now enabled e-mail notifications on PMs, so I hope that I will react better to PMs in the future.

Re: A technical detail

well I am pretty much done expanding. I expected shovah to close off the northern passage of independants by now.

So we might end up with a border anyway, bluebird.

D. Hey, I even have all of my turns saved so I can actually prove it. So shame on you for blaming me in vain!

Prove it and the shame will indeed be upon me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/redface.gif

The only message I recall from you is the warning that you gave that you wanted to take province 9, or some such. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Reverend Zombie, look men , I really respect you but you are completely wrong on this one.

Be that as it may, my accusation was made in good faith. Proof to the contrary is apparently not forthcoming. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

The game was bound to be short for some of the players, so no hard feelings, in any event. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

I considered that action but i had my sights set on van and due to our nap sealing you in would give you ample time to mobilise your forces againsts the eastern side of the mictlan empire.

yeah, those provinces have enough income that I will take them myself, and then ermor and I can have RELATIONS

Re: A technical detail

I tihnk i know how this games going to happen:
1: ctis expands to sea
2: i get dominion killed by mans stealthy preaching and ermor takes my empire then proceeds to crush ctis's land armies
3: either man or ermor proceeds to crush ctis
4: man makes a rush for some vp's so ermor dosnt auto-win (or maybe man just took some of mine when i was dominion killed)
5: big fight between man and ermor, one of them wins the game

o yea, a new turns up

Wish July 22nd, 2006 02:23 PM

Re: A technical detail

Nah, I am not stealth preaching, but my 6 VP do make for a pretty stong dominion.

No, I do not. I am just trying my very best to win this game. But only time will tell.

That was a pretty even fight, all things considered. Kind of wish I got more of your commanders.

Bluebird July 26th, 2006 04:12 AM

Re: A technical detail

Yup, your horde of priests was taking down my undead like flies. On the other hand, I was not expecting to win using undeads anyway. On the other hand, the magic beings you killed did hurt.

Still, I always have problems to get my troops properly organized.

yeah, I'll have to see what I can do about that naga.

Bluebird July 26th, 2006 05:46 AM

Re: A technical detail

Oh, that Naga? I was not expecting to use my pretender much in battle anyway - of course I do not know what pretender I have to fear from you (except that he is F9, as I can see from your blessed troops).

shovah July 27th, 2006 02:36 PM

Re: A technical detail

New turns up, sorry for delay. And i know what mans pretender is, maybe a little bribe could open my lips (unlikely, youve either seen it yourself or will soon)

Bluebird July 27th, 2006 03:57 PM

Ha - proof - you do not know nothing about his pretender. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif "It" obviously does not have a shoe size!!

BTW - I have to announce that I will not be in town between Saturday morning and Tuesday evening (CEST). If the game is not over until then, then I will have to stop the clock. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Congrats Bluebird!

I should have guarded my VPs better http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: A technical detail

Yes, Mans defense really gave me a hard time, and only by taking over your VPs, I was able to push beyond the limit of 9 VPs.

This was really a nice game and the very first one that I ever won. If anybody is interested is a summary of the game, I have prepared a log of all my moves.

Bluebird August 2nd, 2006 10:16 AM

Re: A technical detail

Ok - the AAR has been posted on http://www.fams.de/f-r.html

Any comments are welcome, and if anybody has more reports, please post them here. I really would be interested in seeing the game from another perspective.

Also, I think I have a backup of the game some turns ago. If nobody objects, I could rewind to that backup, switch of the timer and publish the master password.

The Frechdachs games seem to be fast paced and really nice. Would anybody else still be interested in another round? Dominions III still has not gone gold and I think we can have another round before everybody switched to the new, improved version. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
