NOOooo don't put flags empire flags in teh flag folder! that's for allience flags only!
(it screws up multiplayer games if you do)
I'm not sure what the race flags in teh pictures/flags folder are... I assume it's something to do with quickplay races?
anyway, ignore the pictures/flags folder.

this flags set is basicly "neutral" empires, and as such they need race portrates.
look at it again.
stock empires - 14
neutral empires 10
is 24 portrates.

I've never seen it look for defult portrates, it's probibly hardcoded not to look in this folder for portrates.

ok maybe I'm wrong...
maybe the race flags in the pictures/flags folder are where this flagset should put them. if so though, they should be named raceXX_flag_texture.bmp
if this is the case then BG did put the ayres rock flag in teh right place, and aaron forgot to get it to look for annother one if it couldn't find it.

Someone needs to tell Aaron that we'd like to see the "pictures/flags" directory actually gain some functionality, e.g. we can dump stuff into them and see them show up.

I've tried renaming stuff

"Race16_Flag_Set.bmp" in the hopes that it would be recognized by the game, but no go

AHA! I fixed it!

Apparently the

GameTypes\Shep's SE5\Pictures\Flags

thing does NOT work

You have to put stuff into

SE Compilation\SE5\Pictures\Flags

for it to work.

How about some of the revolutionary war flags- Don't Tread on me, Gadsden flag etc.

Working on v2 of the Flagtastic mod; major update, a couple more flags; but there will be "tiny flag" and "normal flag" versions now....

A pirate flag would be nice, also one that sported the Confederate red neck orange, blue and white.
