Hey tibbs, any chance of you giving details of your uber assasin?

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

Is there by any chance anyone in the game willing and able to forge a pair of earth boots and/or a thistle mace for Abyisia?
For some weird reason I don't believe Ulm's offer from several turns ago to exchange magical items still holds. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif

A very nice set of items you can find on a random? indy commander, I'm not sure if you can attain it by other means exept wish.

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

You are correct Amhazair. The Solaris equipment on my 10 dominion Virtue gave her awe +12! I hope to be able to get some of it back, but I won't hold my breath.

So, when will the host upgrade so we can?

Evilhomer January 31st, 2007 03:44 PM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

Im guessing you sent the virtue against some undead or such that cared little for the awe effect ?

edit: I took this turn using the 3.04 patch, mayb its best if we all do that and upgrade the game next turn ?

RamsHead January 31st, 2007 04:48 PM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

Yes, it was undead. I knew better, yet I got careless.

This is what normally happens.

Server seems to be down

Wazooking January 31st, 2007 09:52 PM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

yep. someone jumped the gun and uploaded a 3.06 file.

Does everyone agree on upgrading to 3.06 after the current turn? I can just delete the offending file(s) for the current turn.

Wazooking January 31st, 2007 10:58 PM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

The server is up again, still with 3.04 version.

Amhazair February 1st, 2007 07:58 AM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

I have patched already, but only after playing my turn. I suppose it won't hurt to connect to the game to see if the turn has been hosted already, as long as I don't play, or will it?

Evilhomer February 1st, 2007 02:04 PM

Re: 10 player hosted middle era slower game

you can always log in and not write in the password, you will be told that it was incorrect then it will show the window "played and not played" (and no file is uploaded).

Meglobob February 1st, 2007 05:05 PM

Server problems

Can't connect to server to upload my turn.

Someones probably used 3.06 to do there turn and crashed the server again.

I love new patches but they cause utter chaos with MP games. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: Server problems

We'll get through it.

For the record, if you installed the new patch, don't log into the server until our host gives the GREEN LIGHT.

Re: Server problems

I just tested the new patch on the linux server. I dont seem to have the problems some other people have had.

Looks like most people would like to patch so the next turn will be set to 3.06

I turned off quickhost and I will run the next turn manually then upgrade to 3.06. After the remaining people upload thier 3.04 turn, it will be about 7pm EST on friday that the new turn will be generated.

Might be a good idea to put the clock back on, to keep the game moving. 48hr quickhost sounds good to me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Re: Server problems

Yea,
This turn has been a long awaited one....but I think it's great that Wazooking gave Ulm extra time. The game will eventually continue. (Crossing fingers) But I'd like to take a moment to kiss up to the Host!
Thanks for hostin' Wazooking.

The fiery Abysians are trying to gain a little understanding of the substance called 'water'. Anyone willing to forge us a water bracelet will be paid 8 gems of either fire/earth/air/death/astral. Or maybe some blood slaves if you prefer.

Evilhomer February 10th, 2007 02:34 PM

Re: Server problems

Just a friendly heads up, the new turn is 2 or so hours away from hosting and ulm+abysia you have not done your turns...

Amhazair February 10th, 2007 02:40 PM

Re: Server problems

Yep, I'm aware of that, thanks. It's been a very busy couple of days for me, but I'll upload it now.

Is Ulm playing turns? Perhaps it's time to set him AI or finish him off?

he hasn't played for several turns, no point in waiting on him.

Evilhomer February 18th, 2007 02:19 PM

Re: Server problems

Please set ulm to AI, I can see with the eyes of god that he is totally dead and he hasn't played last 5+ turns.

Absolutly no point in waiting on him each and every turn.

Re: Ulm

Ulm is now AI

YellowCactus February 19th, 2007 01:37 AM

Re: Ulm

Ermor is totally dead too, but those Undead can SURE put up a fight! The Southwestern portion of the world is littered with rotting flesh and dead jaguars. An endless cycle of killing as Ermor and Mictlan skirmish about ten battles per turn. This version of Dominions is still new to me, I'm missing my blood magic Mictlan. Can't complain about the Nature summons though. Holy animals? Okay, I'll take it! Anything to get rid of this pestilance of stelthy etherial undead holy units....blah!

Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Ermor no longer fights for itself.

In truth we now fight for the gods of those nations who have managed to avoid direct conflict and month by month build there power up. Namely, Arco, Oceania and perhaps even Sinuyama and Marignon. Ermor will do your nations considerable service by battling Mictlan and Abysia to the death. So that even if those two nations triumph over Ermor, they will be easy pickings for there stronger neighbours. Ensuring they do not under any circumstances become the one true god. Remember this service Ermor does for you.

Zuggtmoy will have her fun and pleasure before returning to the pits of Tartaras.

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Hey all,
I will be gone from sunday till tuesday next week and I was thinking of putting the game to only quick host for those days.

Any objections?

Meglobob February 28th, 2007 10:13 AM

None here.

Ermor has put up an Increadible fight. In truth, I never would have attacked had I a clue....

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Is Marignon still playing?

I believe this will be the 3rd or 4th turn in a row he has missed.

Perhaps time to consider turning him AI?

Evilhomer March 6th, 2007 01:24 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

or finding a replacement...

Meglobob March 7th, 2007 12:04 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Any chance of a new turn?

I am looking forward to some battles (vs Mictlan) and dreading others (vs Abysia), also I want to see how many enemy leaders I bumped off... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Wazooking March 7th, 2007 04:10 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Sorry, just got back this morning. Forcing a new turn now.

As for marignon, unless Die51 contacts someone with the password, there cannot be a sub.

I would recommend setting him to AI.

Evilhomer March 7th, 2007 04:40 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

well since I subed for die 1 turn early in the game when he was away I know his pass, and can give it to whoever wants to sub...

Wazooking March 7th, 2007 09:23 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

go ahead and shop around for one then.

Evilhomer March 8th, 2007 04:15 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

Going to be travelling during the weekend...So will not be able to do my turns then.

JayThomas March 8th, 2007 05:33 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

I would be interested in trying out Marignon as a sub. I'm not very experienced in MP so if someone of better caliber would rather take over that is fine with me.

JayThomas March 8th, 2007 08:41 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

I can't connect. I'm using ip 168.103.111.135, port 6889.

Evilhomer March 8th, 2007 08:43 PM

Re: Ermor fights to the last zombie!

correct ip is: 65.103.187.168
