Ulm seems to live by the motto "Live fast, die young".

Agartha is living by the "Live long, die fast and in twitching heaps"

Those Steel Warriors of yours are hard to counter without archers http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif

Yeah, I'm pretty impressed by how good they are for the cost. It would be nice to have some decent researchers, though.

Well I have some of those (for now http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif ) - not the most cost effective flavour but useful if I can survive your onslaught with poor melee units and no archers http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

Has anyone gotten a turn since number 17, on April 3rd? I received the notice from the host a couple days ago telling me to get my turns in promptly, but he didn't respond to my message saying that I hadn't gotten the turn he was apparently referring to.

Jazzepi April 12th, 2007 06:27 PM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I haven't either. I think the host is having issues.

Same guess here.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

Just a short clear up, we are still on turn 17. just waiting for the last .2h file that there has been some trouble with.
We'll host as soon as thats sorted out.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I'd like to apologize to everyone, it's my fault this game came to a standstill.

First I was gone for a short time and after returning I thought I had sent in my .2h but I had sent it to the wrong person...

then I sent the right one in but it was corrupted? I'm not sure on that one...

THEN I sent my .2h... but it was the wrong .2h it was for another PBEM game I was playing.

I think I've sent a good and proper .2h to the right person now.

Honestly after all this time I've taken atleast it will be good for everyone to know Pangea is seeing it's end days already.

it was just a small extra delay herb, don't worry about it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I don't want to rush anyone but I would like to got some news about this game.

Are we waiting for someone ? What is happening ? Is someone having issues ?
I hope it's not me !!!
My last turn was the 19th received the 04/15/07
I just hope I didn't miss one !

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

No we're waiting again http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif I'm almost about to pull out of this game. 4 days between hosting, or longer, is just too much for me.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

What the heck? Why is the game telling me that I staled a turn? Is it because I got mailed both a .2h file and a .trn file today?

No, it apparently didn't run my last turn; I don't have any battle replays and I've been attacking provinces every turn.

Jazzepi April 21st, 2007 08:45 AM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I had the same problem, then the host sent me a new turn file.

I just received an old file from the host.

Methel April 21st, 2007 10:21 AM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

there was a slight mishap with the turn files, i sent out the 2h files first then the trn file.

Cyborgmoses did however stale.

LoloMo April 21st, 2007 09:19 PM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I did not receive my trn file, please resend, thanks!

CyborgMoses April 22nd, 2007 05:30 AM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

That's odd, I've been sending in every turn as soon as I get them, often less than an hour after they're mailed out. Well, nothing to be done about it now, I guess.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

Agartha is out - smashed by Ulm.

I have set the pathetic remains to AI.

The great nation of T'ien Ch'i is interested in water gems. We have many other types to offer in exchange.

We can also forge many items, if you wish to sell us your excess water gems, let us know. Please use the forum's private messaging system.

just waiting for the last turn, will host as soon as i have that. Reminder has been sent a few hours ago.

Still no luck, I've now sent a pm. Will be hosting in two hours time no matter what.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I vote you just run it after 24-48 hours. I think most of us are checking our e-mail daily waiting for the next turn.

I'm pretty sure most of us get the turn back to you within hours.

I usually look it over. Consider options over dinner. Then do it and send it in.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I'd love it to be 24 hours instead of 48 hours.

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I am really sorry for the delays of the last few days; my internet service, which is sketchy at best, completely cut out for a full three days. It just started working enough for me to post about how much Comcast sucks and run a set of turns, but I would suggest finding a substitute to take over my position, as I don't know how long this respite will last. Again, my sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Methel May 2nd, 2007 05:39 PM

Sorry guys, but CyborgMoses will be getting the axe.
I've requested his pass, and will either be replacing him or setting him to ai when i get it.

The great nation of T'ien Ch'i has recently come across the ability to forge dwarven hammers. We are now willing to make them for others at a price. We are interested in air and death path boosters.

If you wish to purchase one of these, message me on the forums and we can negotiate a price.

Who is still left in the game that isn't AI?

Abysia is still in there, as I think is Rlyeh. Kailasa is probably still in there, but their monkeys are getting horribly burned =)

OgreMkV May 26th, 2007 10:15 PM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

I'm still in until the AIs finish kicking my ***.

Shouldn't be too long now.

Methel May 27th, 2007 08:08 AM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

"Only" Ulm is ai.
I didnt find a replacement for him, too bad since its such a sentral and strong position.

The monkeys are burned indeed, the lesson at the hands of the burning ones was.. humbling.

Now the usually so heavily protected abysians are all but naked though http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

LoloMo May 27th, 2007 08:42 AM

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

Haha, being naked is definitely under the heading of humbling too =)

Re: Ragnarok PBEM (full)

Yes R'lyeh is still here...

Eressil3 June 25th, 2007 09:08 AM

I leave all the games I\'m in...

I received a call this morning for a new job. Therefore I'll leave my country for the USA.

I need a lot of time to prepare this new life and won't be able to do my turns. I'll be back in the dom3 community when I'll got my new house and internet connection. But it won't be before august.

The state of EA R'lyeh is not really a good one. Especially due to the lack of gems site... I'll set myself to AI unless people tell me to not do it.

Methel June 25th, 2007 09:13 AM

Re: I leave all the games I\'m in...

Hmm... perhaps we should just wrap this up then?
I think its pretty clear that tien is going to win, and theres nothing me or abysia can do about that.

I agree to concede the game to Tien'chi.

That's fine. I think we should get a few more people still left in the game.

Congratulations Jaz http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

I couldn't get my feet under me in this game. Atlantis kept attacking and attacking me even though he lost all but two of the battles.

And those Abysian sacreds take years to traverse up the coastline to where the action is. Slowpokes!

Thanks! I was a little underwhelmed by the super-uber global I cast. Everyone spells doom and gloom when it goes up, but I never seemed to get more than 30 gem income MAX every turn. Honestly, I would have been better off spending my time on casting maelstorm. Maybe it had to do with the size of the map. But between clam hording, and casting Acashic Record on almost every province I owned my gem income was as follows, including clams.

3F 6A 13W 14E 38A 12D 23N + whatever from arcane nexus.

I was actually really surprised at the distinct lack of globals cast this game. I was working on having Gift of Health, and gift of Nature's bounty up over the course of the next 6-7 turns. Thank Pangea for their delicious capital income http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Thanks for the game guys, was a learning experience. Though everyone seemed fairly quite the entire game, and I think that helped me roll through Maverni without being challenged.
