Remember the first 12 turns are set to 24 hour turns.

Erm...a few of us have been unable to get in to do our first turns--I still could not get in as of 7:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern DST. Could we have a bit more time for the first turn to get this straigtened out, please?

Timers are reset if the server goes down, so time shouldn't be a problem.

I also see black candles...some nation must be mad to start so close to the mighty R'lyeh.

i just hope my neighbour is not a land nation, it would be a bad start if i had to fight human opposition that early. (but a second capital would be a nice source of income)

Especially for the LA R'lyeh. Discordance has a gigantic, connected sea, much like Velusion's other map 'eventide'. Let's all hope Atlantis is somewhere near R'lyeh. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif

I'll be on buisness travel from Apr 23 to Apr 26. I don't know if I'll have internet access during this time.

Can the game be put on hold during this time? If the delay is to long, a substitute is acceptable.

Thanks

Im gonna be away this weekend. I will probably stale once, twice at the most.

I understand if you don't want to pause the game so early in it. Just don't turn me AI!

Velusion April 20th, 2007 01:55 PM

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Starti

Sorry - no delays this early in the game. It does move to 48 hour hosts after this next turn though, so you two will probably only miss one host at most (if that).

You might try asking a fellow player not involved in the game to fill in for you (they will probably only need to do one turn).

Haha, Atlantis and R'lyeh, with only one empty province between? Hmm... Now I just have to figure out how to beat down those crazy mind-controlling squid when my best troops have lousy magic resistance.

Don't act surprised! From the announcement post:

Speed: 24 hours per host for the first 12 turns moving to 48 hours per host. Quickhost enabled.

well you do if you observe your candles, just start preaching if you are close to a dom kill. Usually not a problem for me since I prefer high (9-10) dominions.

That's what happens to me too Jazzepi. I once got dom killed two turns into a game playing playing Mictlan with a 'festival of fertility god being held' event. I GOT DOM KILLED BY A RANDOM EVENT!?! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Starti

Hahahahahahahahaha.

That makes me feel better.

I was rushing someone with skin shifters, and doing a good job of it my army was about 4x as large as theirs, but they had an awakened pretender and I wasn't paying attention to candles. I would have built some priests or something if I knew. So I guess they must have had pretender + prophet in the same army and it just overwhelmed my capital's dominion.

hehehe, sorry about that Jazzepi, but you know how crappy my starting position was and your surge was sure to succeed - you were doing a fantastic job. And yeop, the Pretender and the Prophet knocked on your door at the same time.

Ermor -

Your incursion into the recently secured mountains to our South could perhaps be forgivable. However, it was clear that our valiant forces had eliminated heretics in Gnome Peaks prior to yours. While perhaps the Harab elders could be convinced otherwise, as our mutual pact is vital, the returning messages from the Mammoth riders decry your blunder, and it is causing discord amongst the Seraph underlings.

We ask that your forces leave these peaks, whose populace was celebrating our victory for a mere week before your invasion. Asna is being consulted, but her efforts in repelling the odd nations to the North and West are delaying response.

If you do so, we will remember, and the South shall be the domain of the once great Ermor, once these stranded celebrants are recovered.

If you do not. The Elders will congress and await word from Asna.

The Ermorian Council has reviewed the petition of the Nation of Caelum and has agreed with its merits.

In the interest of strengthening relations with our airborne neighbors, Ermorian troops have vacated Gnome Peaks. We have also respected the sanctity of your dead by burying them, as we realize that not all are appreciative of our gifts of rebirth.

May the resolution of this conflict further relations between our two nations.

I'm in Iowa, USA. I was able to get an internet connection but I can't connect to any of the game servers. Probably some firewall setting on my work computer which I won't mess with.

Crimson Hope has faded http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif and Atlantis will soon rule Abbysia's small former realm. We did leave the Atlantean Dagon some nice parting gifts in the form of a dozen or so Horror Marks.

Thanks for the game and good luck to all (except Atlantis)!

A shame you are out so quick. Now I only fear that atlantis will turn on poor innocent weak little me...

there seem to be some error atm. The game autohosts every 16 hours or so, but the webpage claims its every 48 hours.

The jotun pretender is dead. The force they had besieging my capitol is shattered(although the few survivors smell as bad as ever).

ps: now would be a great time to attack utgard with their SC son of fenrir dead.

GAH!!!!

I can't believe someone didn't mention this earlier... Everyone completed the last turn but a lot of people bounced the turn before that... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

If someone would have told me last turn I could have restored back!
