Re: Forseti Mods

Wow Cerlin, I had no idea. That sounds like it was quite nasty. I hope you're recovering (-ed?) well, at least. --And I hope nothing anywhere that extreme has happened to LP!

Just wanted to let you guys know: I have sent a PM to llamabeast about taking over setting up and moderating this game, in the face of LP's absence. I don't mind stepping aside at all though, if someone else prefers the job. : )

And FAJ, those are all the mods, yes. (With my slightly modified Cradle map as well, of course.)

Thanks IndyPendant, for volunteering to be moderator for this game. Hopefully Lazy_Perfectionist is fine, and we'll see him back after the holidays.

Indy, I've administered games on Llamaserver and would be willing to take on those duties here if you would like, as long as you handle the distribution of the mods and the map file as mentioned. Just let me know.

Re: Forseti Mods

I had a quick question, with indies out. Does that mean even if we find a sight that normally gives mages, it no longer will do so? Just curious http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Re: Forseti Mods

No. you can get Indy troops and mages from sites and special events. I assume the mage sites become much more important in a game like this. Never played one though.

Re: Forseti Mods

oh ok thats great to know~
My pretender design takes this into some consideration.
There are a couple pretty amazing astral sights one can find with a little more magic. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Also normally when I play I get a minimal amount of indies, unless they are especially special (like Longbowmen) or useful (indie nature mages.)

In my way Ilamabeast, thanks! It took a while and even longer to get back into dominions, but thankfully my life is on track again...which is the important part!

Very glad to hear that. Glad to see you back!

I remember we were in a blitz/newbie game together back then. You have definitely come a long way. It is fun to see you are still around here.

Yep, we were, with Amhazair too (can't remember who was playing Pythium), we were all new. As for coming a long way - it's more like I just spend far, far too long on the forums!

Okay Aethyr, go ahead and admin this game then. I'll take 'backup' role if it ever becomes necessary. The map and mods are already uploaded in previous posts; I would also recommend creating a new thread, since we can't edit LP's original post.

Let's get this game started in the new year!

Re: Forseti Mods

OK Indy, I'll Check w/Llama about getting set up so that folks can send their pretenders in.

I'm think about a deadline of next Thursday; if everyone ogets thier pretenders in we'll go sooner. How's that sound everyone?

Re: Forseti Mods

Sounds good to me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
I should have a workable one by then. (probably earlier)

Re: Forseti Mods

Llama server FAQ:

http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...?Number=531116

We have to wait until the game is set up on the llama server, then (this is copy-paste from the FAQ):

- Make sure you have the same mods enabled as the game you're playing in (Preferences->Mod Preferences) although only mods affecting pretender design, such as Conceptual Balance, actually matter
- Go to Game Tools -> Create a pretender god in Dominions
- Go to the savedgames/newlords folder in the dominions directory, and find your pretender file (e.g. mid_pythium_0.2h)
- E-mail the file to: pretenders[ at ]llamaserver[ dot ]net
- Crucially, you must have the game name in the subject line of your e-mail

Re: Forseti Mods

Thanks vfb--right you are. As soon as Llama's set it up I'll post a notification here, and as someone suggested spin off a new thread as well.

Re: Forseti Mods

Okay, the game's now set up to accept pretenders. Just follow vfb's instructions above (thanks vfb).

Is this the main thread for this game? I don't see the other post on the first page...
