So....is this going to be a PBEM game or Networked? Seems to be shaping up as PBEM. No matter, really.

Xanatos April 21st, 2008 06:34 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

its networked....(as per the original post)

lch April 21st, 2008 06:35 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

klagrok, please remove the address. I put it into an image for a reason.

jimkehn, it's going to be a networked game, but I prefer to collect pretenders via email so that I know the email addresses of the players, too, to add them to the turn notification and in case I have to contact them when they vanish from the game. Plus, it wouldn't be possible to upload pretenders normally with the AllNations mod active.

jimkehn April 21st, 2008 06:48 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

OK....I get confused easily.

Xanatos April 21st, 2008 06:56 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age ) STARTED!

who still needs to upload their pretenders?

lch April 22nd, 2008 05:38 AM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

I have pretenders from the following nations:

Sauromatia
Shinuyama
Oceania
LA Ermor
Tir'na n'Og
Marverni
MA Ermor
Arcoscephale

I think we're waiting for Arghaii and Bernado.

jimkehn April 22nd, 2008 11:32 AM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

Sheesh....All three Ermors in the same game?? That should be interesting!!

Xanatos April 22nd, 2008 02:09 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

I wonder how effective late ermor is agains't middle:P

lch April 22nd, 2008 07:56 PM

Xanatos April 22nd, 2008 08:01 PM

Still waiting for another pretender from Bernado which has a password, then we're able to start...

Arghaii April 23rd, 2008 06:04 PM

Re: 10 man Large/long Game (single age mod!) join

Can we have the connection IP prior, cause I will be travelling tommorow and won't be sure if I can reach the forums.
In any case, if you can email me the IP to lnikolaidis@gmail.com that might be of help.

chrispedersen April 23rd, 2008 06:59 PM

No, I have all the pretender files now. However the server is acting up, Dom3 is segfaulting (aka crashing), as well as other OpenGL programs, I am trying to circle the problem at the moment. Probably a driver problem. I can start the executable when I disable optimized shared libs, but I don't like that as a real solution. I'm working on it.

lch April 25th, 2008 08:49 PM

Game started

The game has started. You should all have received a mail now.

Thanks, Ich.

Good Luck everyone!

Re: Can you really mix ages?

Arghaii, you gonna play man? if not please try to find a sub.

lch April 27th, 2008 04:13 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

It's a bit fast asking for that before somebody actually staled more than once... But since this is the first turn, I am going to reset the timer once now.

Xanatos April 27th, 2008 04:52 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

aye thats my thoughts, its a bad way to start out:)

Fal April 27th, 2008 05:45 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

hmm well he was a bit slow when submitting the pretender file too, it would have been more polite if he had informed us that he was going to stall the first turn.

btw is this a victory point game?

Xanatos April 27th, 2008 09:12 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

no its not a victory point game - but ya anyone know how to reach him?

lch April 28th, 2008 08:16 AM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

I have wrote him an email. You can always PM him, of course.

Xanatos April 28th, 2008 02:03 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

I did PM him, we should find a sub for him.

klagrok April 28th, 2008 03:34 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

should be easy as it is the first turn

Xanatos April 28th, 2008 07:56 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

ya but we need his password as well.

lch April 28th, 2008 08:01 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

I could recover his password. But if he really doesn't show up again it would be better to ask for another player to join with his own pretender god and I'll restart the game again.

Xanatos April 28th, 2008 08:22 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

ill make a post for a sub.

Tyrant April 28th, 2008 09:51 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

We need to just restart without him. Who would want to sub on turn one- that's just playing a game without getting to choose your start and it's very easy to just restart with no lost play.

Xanatos April 28th, 2008 10:20 PM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

i agree, ich can you rehost game as 9 player.

jimkehn April 29th, 2008 12:05 AM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

I'm good with that. Let's go with the nine that wanna play.

klagrok April 29th, 2008 05:59 AM

Re: Can you really mix ages?

same here 4 days is long enough...........

lch April 29th, 2008 06:43 AM

About to restart

There was one reply to Xanatos' thread where he asked for a sub. In fairness, I gave him a 20 hour deadline now. If he can come up with a pretender in that time, he's in, otherwise we'll restart with only 9 players. Server timer is off now.

lch April 29th, 2008 06:21 PM

Restarted

Okay, sum1lost has turned in a new pretender and I restarted the server. I hope I got everything right. Turn timer is at 24 hours quickhosting now to get the early game finished with, we can switch to 48 hours after a couple of turns - just shout if it's going too fast for you (before you stale).

Fal April 29th, 2008 07:00 PM

Re: Restarted

Oh just great, LA R'lyeh is allowed in...

lch April 29th, 2008 07:05 PM

Re: Restarted

I checked the thread to see if there was a clause against using LA R'lyeh, but that didn't seem to be the case here...
