Heh. I have recently been ganked in another game, which I think I will soon be out of. If possible, I would like to play this game again. As one of the original players, I hope that will be possible.

If it is a huge hassle, then just leave me out. Nozshand, I would like to team with Micah again.

Lingchih could join with a new partner (James243) and his choice of the unused teams, or nozshand could partner with James243, or....

as I said before, it's up to nozshand whether he wants to trade positions. He definitely gets to play, though, since Lingchih did back out at one point :doh:

For some reason I can only edit the root of the thread (?).

Since Micah and Lingchih were a team in the game we're restarting, I'm letting them reteam with a new randomly assigned nation pair. This means James243 is back in and we presently have no alternates - can everyone verify that they're playing before I proceed?

Two possibilities:
* We can do PBEM when Llamabeast gets back (which would delay the start until the 26th, I think)
or
* We can do IP if someone suggests a hosting service.

That's 11/16 checking in, including Micah who checked in via IRC. It's likely Zeldor will get a reserve slot.

So sorry - I thought I was way down the list of alternates for this game so hadn't kept a close eye on this thread. Sorry for being slow. I'm delighted to play - Atlantis right? And happy to team with anyone.

Ill get my pretender sent in asap - likely Saturday morning new York time.

I'm going to need a customized .map file so that I can make sure that the teams start adjacent. I'm not sure that the automatic start can support that.

So, we are using Llamaserver? Not an IP host? I'm fine either way, but Gandalf has a good network server going now, and there are a few others.

I'd use Gandalf's network server unless anyone can't do IP. I'll contact him tomorrow.

Last game was IP, so I suppose this game should be as well.

I'm going on a short vacation from Aug. 31 to Sept. 5th, so it would be great if we could start this game right away, or wait until Sept. 5th to start. Otherwise, I assume my team partner (Micah) can do my turns. At least I hope so. I would hate to start the game with a sub.

A small update on LA Atlantis as the patch is soon out and atlantis is playing in this game

New hero:
Once and Future Queen. Reemerging Basalt Queen. Priest lvl4. Can get special unit events while in the sea. High MR and resistant to R'lyeh dream influence (insanity).

New units:
Sleeping Pillars. Unique event unit. Basically a living pillar of EA with high magic defence and dream resistance.

Underwater recruitables:
Unsleeping. Basically a non sacred mother guard with higher MR and dream resistance.
Merciful mother. More or less a mother of the deep with increased MR and dream resistance.
Forgiving father. More or less a mage of the deep with increased MR and dream resistance. W2S1+R

Returning into the sea is now something LA Atlantis will pursue, since it will give them access to mid tier mages of different paths. They are hopefully better suited to reclaim the dream-ridden seas.

GP has suggested that we wait for the patch before starting.

This should roughly coincide with people returning from late august vacations? Seems reasonable.

Hey guys! I've been chatting with AOE a bit, and I was wondering if I could switch out LA Ermor and take the LA man slot? (I will then switch with aoe, who wants to try his hand at LA man). Ossa has not checked in yet, but he might be pleased with his new nation if we switch directly :). Thoughts?

Unoptimized - I was going to give the vacated slot on the Man/R'lyeh team to Zeldor. Talk with him if you want to trade with him.

Just to clarify, the assigments are *chosen within each team by the players*. So Nikelaos and revolution have Atlantis/Bogarus - Nikelaos can have Bogarus or revolution can have Bogarus it's up to them to work it out.

So if you have preferences, say here which nations you actually want!

Preliminarily, the revised teams would be:

Actually, now that it's possible to send PMs out to multiple people, I might give all players a heads-up when the game is ready to accept pretenders etc. But having grown used to the previous forums I didn't do that.

Once that is all done, we can start uploading pretenders.

My Pan pretender build is done. Let's commence this game on or about Sept 5th, when I return from my vacation. You all have almost a week to design a defense against us.
