Yestin, are you reading your PM:s?

Well, he's staled five times already, including the last turn. Could be coincidence...

Toran March 6th, 2009 02:32 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Hm. Any chance for our Arco player to re-emerge, or should he be set to AI (would be a shame, but five stales is a shame as well)..?

And now 6 stales in 16 turns. For that bad proportion Arco has still remarkable good scores. Yet I think it is already too late to interest a substitute in Arco.

My vote: Set Arco to AI.

Juffos March 7th, 2009 05:21 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

I postponed hosting by 24 hours and sent a PM to the player of Arcoscephale. Unless a message is received, a sub will be looked for.

Juffos March 8th, 2009 08:17 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Postponed hosting by 5 days in order to let the sub thread do its job. If a sub isn't found, I will have someone put the nation to AI.

Toran March 9th, 2009 05:59 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Hey, seems we have a sub already, or is the original player (Yestin) with us again?

Juffos March 11th, 2009 12:24 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

It seems like Yestin is with us once more. No one staled last turn.

Hi Juffos,

please delay the game for 24h ... tomorrow i have deadline for my master thesis and still a lot of work to do ;-(. I didn't inform you earlier, because i thought the last turn would take until friday ...

greetings

Hosting postponed by 54 hours due to multiple player requests.

Apologies for missing a turn, I've had some problems with my ISP but it seems to be working again now.

Fantomen March 18th, 2009 07:06 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

There is an error with the mac version of the latest patch, that means I (and perhaps others too) need a pause until the problem is solved.

It seems to be a mistake made by Illwinter in sending the wrong file to Shrapnel. Hopefully they will solve it fast.

The new patch is out and ready to go.

Lets patch up and get our turns in :P

Yep, I'd really love to continue this game here!

Toran March 23rd, 2009 08:46 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Hm, Arcos has staled the last two turns again - should/could we consider AI-ing him? The game would run smoother, and he's got quite a few stales under his belts now to make it unattractive as a sub nation...?

Baalz March 23rd, 2009 09:18 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

He's also under attack by two neighbors (at least) so I wouldn't suggest trying to line up a sub unless they're aware of the position.

Jazzepi March 23rd, 2009 09:42 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Staled Staled Turn received Staled Staled

He's staled 4 out of the last 5 turns.

Set him to AI.

Sorry about the stales fellows, I got caught up in personal troubles. My position seems to be intact enough so I´d like to play on.

But I need a delay over the weekend until sunday night cause I need to go to strassbourg on short notice. I hope thats ok.

Juffos April 3rd, 2009 06:15 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Postponed by 80 hours.

Will (probably) do the same after the turn hosts, because Agartha has already sent their turn in.

Marignon is looking for astral gems. Have all sorts to trade for them. we can also forge lightless lanterns at a slight markup if you'd like better research.

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Because the couple is too shy to announce it themself, I as witness have to make it public:

Chloroplaston of Pythium and Ol'Boozeroony of Machaka have climbed together into the marriage bed. (I have not been close enough to
discern sexes behind their ugly appearences though)

Please be not cheap on your wedding gifts. Pythium has already plenty of resources, they'll hardly notice minor gifts.
Imagine, Pythium has granted 'F1 A2 W1 S3' (what a name!) the Arch Theurg, who hid from fire for all of his long life,
a fire empowerment shortly before he'll fall completely to senility,
just in order to deliver a few Astral Fires to my militias.

If somebody is without addresses for the gifts, I could provide those on a short notice.

The couple intends to make their honeymoon trip through the beautyful lands of Eriu. I understand that urge, but I have to
remind them: You have to pay your bill first.

Tuan, counselor of Erisera

Toran April 23rd, 2009 03:00 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Bartholome, the high priest of Pythium, has to express his sadness about the Eriu behaviour.

Not only had there been peaceful relations for a long time, before the Eriu aggression led to a war between the two nations - the Eriu moral lowness is revealed as well in their accusation of our honoured god having sex at all. While this is most probably common practice in Eriu, Chloroplaston refuses any such mortal involvement ans is just striving for immortality by philosophy.

And while we have had no previous contact with Machaka regarding this military operation, the Eriu aggression shows that this would indeed be a contact worth making.

By the way, in contrast to the poor Eriu magery our Arch Theurgs don't need empowerment to dwell in Fire magic. They just learn it in their temples, following priestly duties. And the 'F1 A2 W1 S3' is just what your unadept tongues make of it, their names all have deeper meanings...

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Um... sorry for missing my last few turns. There's quite a lot going on in my personal life right now and I've not been able to be online much. It would be good if someone could find a sub for me, I'd do it myself but I probably can't be online enough to organise one. Otherwise I'll set myself as AI, I'm not a major player in this game anyways.

statttis May 11th, 2009 09:35 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

I've been double teamed this whole game. First it was me vs Caelum and T'ien Chi. Then I kill T'ien Ch'i and Mictlan attacks. Then I (almost) kill Caelum and Man attacks. It just isn't fair :(

Fantomen May 19th, 2009 08:00 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

I found out I will be going to Kenya the 8th of June to 8th of July. I´ve posted a thread looking for a sub so i hope I get one before then.

Game postponed by 24 hours.

Toran May 24th, 2009 04:19 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Hiya, it's a general Dom3 question, however it's referring to our current game... everyone playing may notice that my research graph flatted quite a bit last turn, although I didn't change too much in my research point pool. I also didn't get all RPs spent into the field I had allocated to (I remember that I should have climbed up a level) - is that a known bug, and is there anything specific I can do to prevent it?

Quitti May 26th, 2009 04:01 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Never heard of that bug myself. Did a lab blow up in one of your cities? That might explain it, though I'm not sure in which order research and random events work in the turn generation.

Toran May 26th, 2009 05:35 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Nah, nothing at all. I have got the full number of RPs to be generated shown in the F5 screen, as it was last turn. I did not get a "Research has been completed in ..." message, and the RP generated (all going to a single field of research) would have been sufficient to climb a full level even if I had had the wrong amount of "research already done in the field" in mind.

And all of you can see that less RP have been spent than the turns before...? And nope, no lab blown (and, as I said, RPs generated were still shown).

Guess it's going to general bugs then....

Toran May 26th, 2009 08:26 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Ehm, another thingy... I didn't notice really, but Caelum is quite dead (the nation as well as it's stale score).

I guess setting to AI would seem advisable, and would allow for quicker hosting?

Juffos May 26th, 2009 09:38 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

I will change them to AI, my nation has nothing to do but to turtle in the mighty keep of Ulm.

mighty_scoop May 31st, 2009 11:22 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Sorry for staling last turn ... i'm right at the moment in Hamburg and have no internet here ... thought my hotel had wlan access but i was wrong. I'm back at monday evening so i'm able to send my turn before next deadline.

Greetings

Fantomen June 2nd, 2009 09:06 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Sorry folks, I´ve been unable to participate. Too much stress regarding the trip and other stuff. I´ll set myself AI now since no sub as emerged from the depths of the fora despite my attempts to find one.

Again, a hundred excuses for your inconvenience.

Fantomen.

Hosting postponed by 24 hours due to player request.

Toran July 3rd, 2009 04:35 AM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Oh come on, guys. Can't be true, right? End game's approaching, poor Toran wants to get a taste of getting kicked in the late game for a change (rather than early on :p), and now half the players remaining are staling?

I mean, you decide to play in a game, isn't there any remote idea of "I'll play it to the end if I get strong" ...?

Toran July 3rd, 2009 12:24 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Independent from my not-so-happy rant (hey, you will show up again, right? Not leaving this game to die now!) - can we extend for 24 hours?
Or make it a three days hosting interval in general, the turns are taking me some time now :)

Baalz July 3rd, 2009 01:48 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Mictlan started staling immediately after I eviscerated his main army, barring a word from Scarlioni I'm thinking he's gone for good which is a shame as there's still a bit of fight in the nation. Quite disappointing about Atlantis, but I bet Marignon just missed one turn. My suggestion is we set Mictlan AI and find a sub for Atlantis leaving a nice 4 way power struggle for the end game. I'll ask Juffos for the admin password since he's probably not watching this thread anymore, Atlantis or Mictlan better speak up fast if you're still playing.

Baalz July 3rd, 2009 08:30 PM

Re: Beardaxe is go!

Whoops, looks like I jumped the gun a bit, Quitti has the admin reigns. Forwarded him Executor's email addy, hopefully we can keep this game from dying.
