Correct, I am sending the orders in two times at least.

Re: Zebra - running

Hosting postponed 24h on my own request, probably don´t need so much time but I need to be sure I get home in time.

I´m not sure if the timer change went through, llamaserver displays that the timer is 48 but it feels to me like it is still on 24. Strangeness...

Ulm welcomes the foolish giants into our cold loving embrace. Come little giant, listen to the lure of the night. Closer, come closer. Enter the womb of death and be born again in our service.

Re: Zebra - running

Yah, no warm blood utgardians =-)

Fantomen, can you turn quickhosting off? I would like to change my turn. You don't need to change the scheduled hosting I just want to make sure it doesn't host before I get home.

Fantomen October 6th, 2009 02:30 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Quickhosting turned off as requested. It will be turned on again after next hosting or if Chris pms me that he´s ready.

chrispedersen October 8th, 2009 04:12 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Hey Fant
It seems as if hosting was delayed a couople of days? Was there a request other than mine? I appreciate the delay - I got the turn in before the deadline (as I said I would).

Chris

Fantomen October 9th, 2009 02:00 AM

Re: Zebra - running

I have issued no more delays than those mentioned, and the timer seems correct to me.

chrispedersen October 9th, 2009 10:28 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Hmmm. Just as a note, llamaserver did not accept the revised turn. Or rather, accepted it but did not run it.

Fantomen October 10th, 2009 01:48 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Yes that seems to be increasingly common. Keep your turns until you´re fully satisfied with it.

May I havea delay of 3 hours? Hoping to get back in town in time to run a turn.

sigh. i think his amulet of magic resistance was broken or something. Or I guess if you spam charm enough you eventually get lucky.

Re: Zebra - running

This game is freaking beyond ridiculous.
Didn't take the revised turn *again*.

Never cast a divine blessing despite having 120 jag warriors, and being SCRIPTED to cast it. Absolutely FREAKING ridiculous. What should have been an overwelming route in my favor instead is an overwelming loss.

yay!

Fantomen October 16th, 2009 03:05 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Well you also had a lucky shot taking out my fog warrior caster on turn one.

I think fog warriors and divine blessing would have been pretty equal in worth in this battle, and I would still have won. But who knows...

Heh, I was lucky that single point of friendly dominion remained during the battle. Whole bunch of bloodsuckers turned up in my capital.

It's really weird. I think you should check the debug log and post it to the bug thread:eek:

Fantomen October 16th, 2009 12:37 PM

Re: Zebra - running

@Chris: I looked closer on the battle. You have no h3 priests. You had one communion master and one sabbath master, none of them were priests.

Either you forgot to script communion master for one or your priestmages or that mage ignored that order.

In any case there are no priest on the battlefield capable of casting divine blessing.

==============================
The Couatle (H2) was scripted

Communion Master, Divine Blessing Banish x3
==============================

Communion master would make him an H5.

Taking out the Fog Warriors guy wasn't an accident. I've been watching your combats for awhile.

I had two S2 guys set up to mind duel him. The odds were ~84% that he would be dead in the first round.

Fantomen October 18th, 2009 11:12 AM

Re: Zebra - running

So he ignored the communion master script and instead decided to cast body ethereal? I can understand how thats pretty damn frustrating:( Perhaps it was due to casting first, before there were any slaves present. Seems very strange anyhow.

I take it you gatewayed those troops in there with you Couatl, it was a nice move. I expected that but not the mind duels, suppose I´ll have to count on that from now on.

With the llamaserver gone mad it seems we have still managed to host. The quirk is that I received no turn file, did anyone else get their turns?

no turn file here for any of the four games i'm in. Just some spam then nothing. I guess llama is still working on it

No turn file, the web page has been like this for days.

As a heads up, I leave town saturday night returning tuesday.
So I will get this turn in before I leave, but I will probably need time on the subsequent turn, please.

thanks

Re: Zebra - running

Ok, I´ll see to it.

chrispedersen November 5th, 2009 06:42 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Can we get a 4 hour delay?

I'd also like to propose you the winner I know abysia will object but ....

Fantomen November 5th, 2009 06:51 PM

Re: Zebra - running

4 hours it is.

I would object as well, the only graph where I´m ahead of Abysia is gem income. And there are some unknown factors as well. I´d say the outcome of this game is still quite uncertain, of course I´m no multiplayer veteran.

zzcat November 6th, 2009 03:00 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Ulm's vampire horde is awesome. But Abysia has immortal pretender too and he has access to blood sacrifice so the situation is quite tricky:)

Re: Zebra - running

I am very close to tearing my hair out in frustration.

My couatl mage, once again decides to go off script.
Chooses for some RIDICULOUS reason to cast madness.
Berserks himself
and promptly throws himself on the sword of the enemy.

Once again DECLINING to cast bless.

I checked the debug log
Code:

com Popocatepetl cast spell (favspell Arcane Bolt) (mayusegems 1)
  est. choices 62
...

best spell so far  Blessing (score1465)
best spell so far  Swarm (score1502)
best spell so far  Battle Fortune (score2525)
best spell so far  Antimagic (score3474)
best spell so far  Touch of Madness (score5782)

It seems you scripted arcane bolt but there is no magic being in battlefield. Perhaps you installed some mod which modifies spell IDs.

Fantomen November 6th, 2009 07:33 AM

Re: Zebra - running

If it is of any comfort, a blessing probably wouldn´t have helped you much in that last battle. I think you are overestimating your sacreds if you think so. Touch of madness was probably the worst possible spell at the time though, so your frustration is understood. I can´t deny it was hilarious to see that couatl berzerk himself.:p

Arcane bolt against my gargoyles on the other hand...lucky me I sent the devil.

chrispedersen November 6th, 2009 09:27 AM

Re: Zebra - running

3 gargoyle SCS 2 Devil SC's so I rolled the dice. And lost as you attacked with the devil.

So I understand completely why it went off script. No magical creatures. But Touch of madness on itself is just FREAKING brilliant.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway Science wants to take over Mictlan. (and go AI with utgard)

Any objections?

Fantomen November 6th, 2009 11:00 AM

Re: Zebra - running

It will be sad to see you go, I have really enjoyed our little war. But I have no objections if you get a replacement. Sciencepro should be motivated enough to exact vengance, and you can´t blame him for giving up utgård at this point.

SciencePro November 6th, 2009 12:29 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Yes i held on with utgard for as long as i could but there isnt much of anything left of them now. I figured sice chris doesn't want to play and i do i might take over mictlan if it Is okay with everyone. I doubt i could win the game or anythng but at least i could practice with a new nation and keep things sporting for the game oveall ehich seems to me to be far from decided.

Fantomen November 6th, 2009 12:59 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Very well then. I will need your email adress via PM to put you in control of Mictlan.

chrispedersen November 6th, 2009 02:24 PM

Re: Zebra - running

If you insisted I would continue, or if you feel I'm not being true to the good player pledge. But I honestly feel you beat me fair and square - outmaneuvered me on two occassions.

As for the sacreds on the last fight - I had no commanders to move the sacreds to safety - you killed all of them. Too many sacreds to just let go. Had you attacked with the gargoyle, no mr, no armor arcane bolts would have won the day I think.

Coulda woulda shoulda = ).

People are crazy to leave you with 4 globals. I've seen all of abysia's warlocks - but that might get rid of .. one.

Good luck all!

Fantomen November 7th, 2009 07:45 AM

Re: Zebra - running

I am delaying the game until monday because I had to work extra during this weekend.

Fantomen November 10th, 2009 03:45 PM

Re: Zebra - running

It seems that the person supposed to set Utgard AI has failed to do so, I´ll ask chrispedersen if he can do it.

binarysolo November 10th, 2009 09:36 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Whoops, sorry about that. I was handed Utgard and wasn't sure if I was to play it to the death (as per usual, to make it a fairer game for those not adjacent to the nation) or not.

I'll make a pretty big disclaimer that my own purpose would really just be to hang on and be a "defeated AI+" than anything else. The nation I took over was in a pretty sorry state of affairs, though I think I could make the aggressor nation pay in blood for the last two fortresses. Probably take out a few SCs while I was at it.

Let me know if you guys still want me to play out the last turns of Utgard.

Fantomen November 11th, 2009 12:11 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Silly me, now I already handed it over to someone else...

binarysolo November 11th, 2009 05:08 AM

Re: Zebra - running

It's cool, sounds like he's gotten a handle of things too. Stretch is your pointman for the last of the Utgard. :)

SciencePro November 12th, 2009 07:21 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Thanks for your help binary.

Has anyone heard from Jazzepi lately? He staled last turn and looks about to stale again.

Fantomen November 12th, 2009 07:27 PM

Re: Zebra - running

Not a word. Would be a shame to have Abysia lose ground from staling considering how strong it is. I´ll see if I can get in touch with Jazeppi and if he seems about to stale I will postpone the game over the weekend. I´ve noticed he usually waits until the deadline though, and he hasn´t staled more than once in a row before.
