I'm going camping this weekend. Leaving tomorrow morning. Can we have a hold on the game till I get back Sunday? I'll be able to do my turn ASAP around 1-2pm EST.

ok, after the next host, i will delay hosting for 36h, that should give you enough time to get your turn in.

Hey, are people checking thier forum PMs in this game? I've had two PMs and one in-game message be completely ignored so far. Were we playing No Diplo and I didnt get the memo?

we are not playing no diplomacy, so it seems that you just happen to be around silent neighbours.

btw. the next turn is postponed

A proclamation by Ulm on behalf of ourselves C'tis and Marverni:

Let it be known that these three great nations have agreed to a defensive alliance, directed primarily at our mutual neighbor. If they attack any of the three of us they will have us all as enemies.

Marverni agrees.

Brilliant plan. Nothing can go wrong whatsoever.

Good point. To avoid that situation, Ulm now outlaws the shooting and eating of ostriches as it disrupts the international order. ;)

So, in game I see Tir na Nog. On the first post in this thread, I do not see Tir na Nog. Perhaps it is called something else?

I would like to know whom I can contact diplomatically

My humblest apologies for the stale turn, I was unexpectedly held up out of town when I was expecting to be back with hours to spare for turn-completion.

Won't happen again.

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Upload Pretenders

Argh, I didn't mean to stale. I just thought I had sent in the turn yesterday and forgot, I'm very sorry.

Requesting a couple of hours extension on this turn in case I'm busy after work tomorrow (25th). I'll probably make it but better safe than sorry.

btw; a couple of hours is rather vague

Speaking of stales... is there any way to kick/replace Caelum? They've staled 4 times in a row. Atlantis too.

Judging by the graphs they should both be set AI right away.

Arco's Item Forging Services...

In other news, the people of Arcosephale are happy to announce that thier forges are now open for business! If you have any forging needs that your own nation can't manage (Dwarven Hammers, for example?) just send me a PM and we can work something out. My mystics and orieads give me an impressive path coverage so if you want it there is a good chance I can forge it. Most items done at standard cost or with a minor surcharge.

So, shoot me a PM and lets see if I can help out with those items!

otthegreat September 29th, 2009 01:09 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

Every market needs competition, right? So in that spirit the smiths of Ulm are offering dwarven hammers and other earth items at a significantly reduced cost. Whatever Arco's price we can guarantee we will go lower (what with 50% forge bonus and all). PM me for all of your earth item needs!

Edit: ha I didn't realize how close the timing was, sorry Ironhawk

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

We are now on turn 27 in my opinion, we could stay at 24 hours, but if someone will go to 48h i will offcourse change the gametimer.

iainuki October 1st, 2009 10:02 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

I'd like to switch to 48 hours myself: I'm trying to find a permanent sub for my position, and the slow would be useful to me while I'm looking.

aaminoff October 1st, 2009 10:16 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

I would really appreciate an extension today, I have a teacher conference at 5pm and will not have time to work on my turn.

Edit: 3 hours should be enough - I see that it is customary to state the length of extension.

I would support moving to 48h or 36h.

- Alex

Dimaz October 1st, 2009 11:16 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

36h is not a very good idea because all turns will process at different time, and it'll be easier to miss hosting time. 48h is good, however.

Ironhawk October 1st, 2009 12:50 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

Oh... hmm. Well before I read the thread and saw there might be a timer change, I had a friend on IRC modify my turn slightly and send it back to me so I could resubmit (dont have access to dominions3 here at work and it would have turned). It was done to correct an important error I'd made in trading. I dont think it will have any impact on the game or server but I just wanted to point it out beforehand just in case.

Dimaz October 1st, 2009 01:01 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

I've made such things in this game and others, I too don't have dom3 at work so I ask Kuritza to make some last minute changes, and he even sends the turn, so no problem expected here.

Sigh, I was liking 24hr. But I completely understand if people need more time.

aaminoff October 1st, 2009 07:47 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

What the...? Hadrian_II announced that we were at 48h, but then the turn happened anyway? Confound it, I think I staled. In the middle of a tricky tactical situation too. Oh well.

Hadrian_II October 2nd, 2009 07:21 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

i set it to 48 hours, and in the admin log it states that i did it, but the game seems still to be at 24h. There seems to be a bug with llamaserver as there is already a thread about the problems.

Fantomen October 2nd, 2009 12:34 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

Just do it again. Most of the problems have been solved that way.

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

FYI - I'm leaving for Hawaii this coming friday and will be away until the 18th. Won't be able to do my turns but I have enlisted QM to sub for me while I'm gone. Hopefully shouldnt be any interruptions in hosting but dont be surprised when I dont respond to PMs next week :)

Dimaz October 15th, 2009 10:39 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

From staling data it seems QM failed to sub for Ironhawk. I think we should pause the game till 18, as he has leading position and staling for 3+ turns is a bad thing (look at Setsumi thread).

Hadrian_II October 15th, 2009 05:58 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

postponed.

notice to self: as admin of the game, i should be able to note things like that

Ironhawk October 16th, 2009 03:06 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

He isn't doing the turns?? WTF. I'm still in Hawaii but I'll try to get in touch with him. Sorry for the inconvenience guysQM is normally really on top of this stuff

Ironhawk October 16th, 2009 06:27 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

It looks like the changeover failed due to a llamaserver hiccup :/ I think we have it sorted out now, but maybe hold the next turn till you are sure QM can submit for arco.

I gotta hit the sack now - I'll try and check in tommorrow morning

Ironhawk October 20th, 2009 03:35 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

Ok, I'm back from vacation now -

Hey, has anyone seen Hadrian? I've sent him 2 emails now to switch arco back over to me but I havent heard back from him. Would really like to get it switched over before the next turn.

was asleep and then at work but you should be in control again

Hadrian_II October 21st, 2009 03:28 AM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

as llamaserver has gone mad again, i tryed to postpone the game by 24 hours, i hope it was sucessful also @ironhawk are you in control of arco again?

Ironhawk October 22nd, 2009 01:12 PM

Re: Aquamarine EA CBM Game Running

Yeah I've got control of arco back. No clue if the turn I sent in has been accepted by the llamaserver tho.

just so you know, I've found a sub for helheim, he'll be taking over anytime.. Good luck you all.. Admin please start sending the turns to lupus fatalis..

Yep, I'll be taking over for Helheim.

I sent my email address to the Hadrian_II assuming he's the game admin. If this is incorrect please tell me who is, so I may contact them.
