Hello All

I just send my turn to the server.

This week end I will not be able to play my turn. It is possible to delay the next turn to 03:10 GMT on Tuesday August 31th instead of 03:10 GMT on Saturday August 28th ?

Arnob seems to have played his turn already. I'm not a big fan of over-weekend-breaks. This time the person asking for the delay was even able to play it on time.

Please don't ask for delays if you don't need it. And if you're able to play your turn on time, please notify others to keep the pace. We are on turn 3 after 5 days of playing.

Great tolerance was mentioned on the first post but stil..:re:

Dear cold-meated tiger-tamers!

The warlocks of Smouldercone greet the expeditionary forces of the apes. We would like to ask you, to avoid attacking the province south from our meeting-point, as we consider it well inside abysian sphere of influence. With good faith in the fruitfulness of our cooperation, we also offer a NAP3.

Greetings hot, spicy monkeys who go by the name "Abysians,"

That sounds reasonable as the sacred riders have other targets in mind.

Thus, the Monkey Council deems it wise to accept said NAP3

We had a similar vision. A pack of giants with some Jotun Woodsmans (with some levels of blessing).

Dear frost god of Jotunheim

I am very pleased to read that you are looking for a lasting peace between our countries.

I propose that our boundaries are as follows:
- Thardun is in our country
- All that is south of the territory is yours, including bridges across the River.

What do you think of this agreement?

Oh ack, all this talk o' peace be turnin' me stomach. The boots of Man march to conquer the world, ye will all be under my sword eventually. All these proclamations of peaceful intent are but farts on the wind, I cannot conceive of the the next ascendant claiming the throne with his tail between his legs. Any wanting friendship with Man will earn it and be richer for it. Any seeking peace may buy it by bending a knee and offer tribute. You show weakness, goblin king. If you wish forbearance you will send what you can spare. If your gift is acceptable ye shall have the treaty ye wish.

The clergy of Ermor wishes to express their dissatisfaction with the pace of this game. We find it unnacceptable as it hinders tithing and sets a bad example for the people. As a result, we also find it unacceptable to be condemned to having only two orgies a day should this trend of decadence continue.

A newby question. Is it possible to create a game with a strict pace : if someone don't play before the end of the turn, llamserver still sends the new file to players, without any moves for late players ?

Every game is functioning exactly the way you describe, the pace is the turn interval, which is determined and modified as the players wish (1 day for this game, but modified by earcaraxe going out).
It is very hard to assemble 15 people for a daily task, for a few months.

Interesting, Not only have I not agreed to your "proposal", I have already owned all that is south at the time of your proposal. Your proposal brings nothing of value to us but rather seek to bind us for your gain, an ill-intentioned insult you fling in our face indeed.

If you are implying that Thardun lies closer to your capital, I would raise to you that Thardun lies exactly in the middle, 2 provinces away from each of our capital. It is more then obvious that you do not plan to deal in good faith and seek provocation for war.

Do not mistake the declaration of peaceful intent of the Jotuns for weakness, we will gladly accept your declaration of war, prepare thyself.

Dear Frosty Giant

Your stubbornness and your aggressive territorial expansion leaves us no more other choices !

It is a drama for people so quiet and peaceful as mine. But we shall do everything we can to reconquer the territory of our ancestor.

But we know how to be generous: if you leave this place and let us take up it without bloodshed, we are ready to offer a long-lasting peace between our two countries.

I know that the blood sometimes has difficulty in irrigating a head of giant, but I hope that you will know how to take into account our justifiable territorial request.

I have the honour to remain, dear Icy Giant, your most humble and obedient servant.

Arnob, King of Ulm and Prince of Thardun.

To Pangaea,

my scouts have spotted your province, and would like to extend peace to you in the form of NAP 3.

To Ulm,

You short lived humans did not even exist as a race when we owned the land now called Thardun, that you claim it as your ancestral land is laughable. Your one-sided oratory on your so called "proposal" amuses us greatly.

We see through your excuses and veiled attempt to instigate war, mistaking our generosity to the younger races for weakness would be the your downfall. This is surely a sign that treacherous humans need be purged.

Re: MA game: Great Forum, game running

And we would raise to your (Vanheim and Pangaea) attention the treachery of Ulm, our offer of peace was meet with the insulting demands (disguised as a "proposal") of these humans.

Our land holdings are wasteland, where crops do not grow and water is more precious then gold. Yet Ulm seek to imprison us in our dead lands and demanding lands required to feed our population, truly their evil have no boundaries.

You will note that our income is lower then that of many others, and Ulm seeks to manipulate us elder kind into warring with each other as are the ways of treacherous humans.

Arnob, The wisdom of elder kinds such as Vans and Pans of nature know of the treachery and deceitful nature of humankinds, your attempts to subvert and scheme among us will have the opposite effect.

I would further invite Vanheim to the cleansing of the humans of Ulm, whose scheming ways are an affront to our nobler elder races. We note that you may rather expand at this point, and am prepared to offer you either NAP 3 or 5 of your choice with the addendum to guarantee leaving Jantal(101) to your people. You will find this a concrete and sincere demonstration of our intentions.

Should you happen to wish for joining in our cleansing of Human Ulm and in position to do so, do let us know.

To Bandar Log:

We congratulate you on obtaining a strategic foothold into the wasteland, home of the giants, and hope you find its poor soil and lack of water to your liking. Life in the wasteland is a harsh existence as I am certain you'll find.

Meanwhile, be aware that conquest into the 2 remaining waste province you see is imminent.

For the interim, would you be interested in a NAP 3?

The M.E.F. (Markata Expeditionary Force) has no desire to exploit recent gains in the Eastern coastal wastes as it is needed to conquer other wastes.

We announce to whoever Pangaea's Western Neighbor is, Pangaea's forces are composed mainly of naked women and one such force mixed in with a small contingent of lightly armed Satyrs/minotaur have already meet their demise in our lands to virtually no losses to us. Their total national "army" as of now is composed of less then 140 such naked girls and some satyrs/minotaurs.

It would be an excellent opportunity to conquer some of Pangaea's rich soils while they seek to "overrun" us with naked women (not that our Vaettis mind of course, they get very excited over the recent influx of naked women slaves).

Truly, do save us from laughing ourselves to death against the invading horde of naked women, it has proved highly disruptive to our meetings of Jarls, where decisions on the issue could not be made due to non-stop guffaws.

Barring that, we suppose we must stamp out the Pans and take their rich soils for ourselves.
