Re: Cradle to the Grave--For noobies with a record of no staling!--6/10 Taken

I'm not too fussed to be honest although I do think EDM would be cool even with Vanilla just to diversify things a bit. Tartarians as the only viable non-unique SC is kinda dull. Also I wanna summon a [S]Balrog[/S] Ember lord.

[e]
So whats the strikethrough tag these days?

Hey, Sopita, I got that message... you're in as Pythium.

Re: Cradle to the Grave--For noobies with a record of no staling!--6/10 Taken

Hey, all. I think I'm going to make this my last vanilla game, but I would need some SP experience with CBM and EDM before I felt comfortable playing them in MP, so I'm going to stick with vanilla this one last time.

Sephorin... you said you'd be in, you just need to decide which nation, so I'll put you in the list as "undecided".

Okay, a vanilla free-for-all it is! Are we banning Ashdod? If not then I will take them. Otherwise, I will take Ermor.

Thanks, earwicker!

Thanks, earwicker!

I know very little about which nations should be banned... can anyone come up with any reasons for banning anyone?

Stronger nations will get ganged more, so I vote against banning one.

Bumping this to try to keep it at the top... only two more people and we're ready to go! If, for some reason, no more people come, we could probably swing eight players, but let's give it a little more time.

Pythium is weak. I´m sure it´s player is kind and willing to cooperate.
Better we should gang up on Ashdod. :p

Re: Cradle to the Grave--for noobies with a record of no staling--ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT!!

There's no one kinder than the giants of Ashdod. We're like big fluffy sheep. We mill around making soft bleating noises and never bother anyone.

Pythium, though.... they have lots of nasty mages who mindhunt and soulslay. Bad for everyone.

Anything negative you have heard about Ashdod is just propaganda.

Hopefully we can get a couple of more people. :) I personally would prefer a smaller map if we will only have eight players. (Maybe Pargonos or Land of Ethereal Squirrels?)

If you still have space, I'd like to sign up.

I've got one MP game, on llamaserver - currently up to turn 36 with no stales:

http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....ion_of_the_Den

Korwin should be able to vouch for me, as I believe he set up the game I am playing.

I haven't given too much thought to what nation I'd like, I'll ponder that while I wait to hear if I am in or not. :)

And that means that everyone should ignore the truly weakest MA nation of Arcoscephale and let us sit in our corner. What could anyone do with Arco anyway? A whole lotta nothin'! Thats what! We just wanna gaze our stars. Is that too much to ask?

Thks Earwicker for organizing.

Please sign me in. Note that I staled accidentally once in 60+ turns. I'll ask my game admin (from Troubling Times) to vouch for me.

As for the Nation, I'll choose one soon.

Sephorin January 10th, 2011 02:17 PM

Re: Cradle to the Grave--for noobies with a record of no staling--ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT!!

Yay! So we have 9 people plus 1 sheepish Ashdod for a total of 10. (So long as Earwicker is okay with that one stale from Numahr, of course.)

Nosantee, I agree that Arco should be ignored as well. Perhaps we can form an alliance for benign and morally upright nations who never bother anyone. ;)

(Of course, I'm kidding about the alliance. I would never make treaties with someone I haven't met in game.)

So, folks, assuming Numahr is able to get his admin to vouch for him, we've got ten! Woohoo!

I'll let everyone know once I've received the final word on him, and then I figure we give everyone a couple of days to consider the other nations and make their pretenders.

All powerful game admin to the rescue! :)

I'd have absolutely no reservations of letting Numahr join any game I admin or play in in the future. He did indeed stale once, I can't even remember the reason, but I do remember it being very reasonable. Apart from that the couple of extension request for business trips and the like were nicely on time so I could plan things in advance, and he was accomodating in trying to play his turns early right before leaving and/or late right after returning to keep the game running smoothly. Also volunteered to assign starting locations on the map for the game start, and active in the game thread, so as far as 64 turns can tell I'd call him an exemplary player.

So, does that earn me the promised crate of beer Numahr?

Korwin January 11th, 2011 02:52 PM

So we are ready to start? Good.
(Lost - just now - last province in Dominions of the Den, so its perfectly timed for me)
*goes looking at his pretender build some more*

Edit: Oh, last post on the last page is important... dont want to hide it with my post...
