What is a ceasefire? I have not heard of this concept. Ok maybe I am slighty off my chops. But I feel that rusians would empathise with my position!!!!

Is it just me or is the server down? Tried to connect this morning to get in one more turn before noon, but cannot connect :(

Bullock July 31st, 2011 11:32 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

I can not connect the server neither. I will contact gandalf about that.

@Agelian: ok keep us informed.

Bullock July 31st, 2011 11:41 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

The server issue is fixed ! Thx to gandalf for such a quick answer.

so, are we getting together today? I will be back at around 8pm.

Bullock July 31st, 2011 02:46 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Agelian is missing and is sick.
The others are on the chat if you want to check that with them.

On my side 8pm is fine

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Ok we are planning the last directplay (unless Licker is eliminated ;) ) for this game the sunday 7th at 6pm.

Is every1 fine with this appointment ?

Umso what is the earliest time you can join us ? if it s earlier than 6 does that fit to everybody ?

Agelian can you you avoid any alcohol and fizzy soda the previous day ;) ?

Until then we keep the 48h turn.

Cheers

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Many Apologies for not making it.. would have been pretty climatic to get the infighting off with everyone around.. unfortunately I had a bit of a mind blank due to far too much alcohol celebrating a friends house purchase... aparently lots of fence climbing, bush crawling (in the middle of sydney CBd.. not sure how i managed that) and passing out in the street. I do remember none of this but had a very nice present the day after in the form of a hangover..

Needless to say I wont be repeating the event as fun as it was.. and look forward to the battles ahead!

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

I just felt the need to assemble a werewolf hunting party.
They will set out to hunt and kill any vile werefols still lurking around in my provinces...

agelian August 4th, 2011 08:15 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Aww but they are so cute with their widdle weapons running around like headless chickens :D

Bullock August 4th, 2011 10:09 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

lol the only strategy i found against them is to put 500troops and cross the finger until i see them flee (without anywhere to flee) :p

agelian August 4th, 2011 10:15 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Ibe got like 10 in about 4 provs running riot.. but its no biggie.. im running out of uses for money anyway so once the forts are gone its game over.. ulm hasnt got round to attacking his capital yet.. he's letting the last skinshifter army get bigger.. I smited his bigger army on the first turn entering his provs..

I've got some guns to bring out on the wolvies.. but im not all that interested in killing them off atm.. let them run free in the wilds!!

Umsolfunolanis August 4th, 2011 10:42 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

I got afraid of Utgards army in the capital. Especially with all my brave soldiers starving and beeing not so brave anymore

As for the werewolves, I have a little surprise for them. I just can't tell now. It would spoil the fun..

Bullock August 6th, 2011 08:57 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

OK guys like the previous week i m doing a quick check to see if everybody will be available tomorrow. The starting time is still scheduled at 6pm (earlier if every1 can) so give us also your availability for this sunday.

Cheers

Umsolfunolanis August 6th, 2011 12:01 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

6pm might be possible, but 8pm is better for me.

agelian August 6th, 2011 12:03 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

8pmwould be easier for me. Waking up at 6 am would be easier to plan for

Bullock August 6th, 2011 12:04 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

ok let say we are starting a 8pm GMT
I hope it s fine with the others.

licker August 7th, 2011 10:02 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Ahh damn, sorry guys, I went down to do some shopping and figured I would be back in time, but apparently there was an accident or something and i sat in traffic for 90m before turning around to take another route.

I don't know when I'll be available again for a block of time, so if you want a sub for me that's fine. I don't think you want me to go AI, since while the position pretty screwed, it's not completely incapable of making my foes work for it

KillerClowns August 10th, 2011 05:55 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Between my failed last ditch attack and my tightening schedule, I'm thinking I might have to give this one to the AI. I'd hate for the rest of the players to be waiting on a dying nation, after all.

Bullock August 10th, 2011 06:34 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

That s fine to me.
I have sea monster invoc coming for you in the sea so it almost done anyway.

Thx for the game Killer i hope to see you soon in an other war :)

KillerClowns August 11th, 2011 06:00 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

That was fun, but between my misfortune (powerful indies strangled my early water expansion), mistakes (not going for Cleansing water earlier comes to mind) and missed turns, it was also painful. Hopefully the next game goes better -- I'll practice some more on the AIs, maybe include the Big Two of the Late Age explicitly for practice against them.

Bullock August 15th, 2011 11:43 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

With Utgard about to die and only 3 of us left can we try to appoint another live meeting ? Any wish about the schedule ?

Bullock August 16th, 2011 04:59 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

@licker: you are about to do your 2nd stall in a row and since you are almost dead we are going to turn you AI unless you show yourself.

Umsolfunolanis August 16th, 2011 04:42 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

I might be able to do another live session. Usually after 8pm is OK.
But turns are getting longer now and the rest of us do send in the turns rather quickly, so I'm fine like it is now.

So, with Utgard almost gone its getting complicated.
What I mean is, there is a huge undead horde terrorizing the world and that alone is wrong by itself.

It should be clear to everyone that Bogarus and Ulm need to stand side by side to cleanse the world of this unspeakable evil.

BUT, I might sell my soul to the devil. Err, I mean Dusk Elder.
For a price of course...:evil:

Bullock August 16th, 2011 10:46 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Haha Umso.
I think the smartest thing is you to get allied with bogarus.
I feel so strong atm =p
I let u finish utgard and we discuss together of this.

agelian August 17th, 2011 12:16 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah I hope you have some scouts over there ulm.. there are a humongous load of undead in ermor.. allying with him will probably give you 2nd place but we only remember winners.. we'd be hard pressed to together to tackle ermor.. hes had a long while to cultivate undead.. only utgard was actively attacking him and we jumped him just as he started.. :D should be fun to see how this pans out!

Bullock August 21st, 2011 03:17 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR :skull::skull::skull:

Unfortunately for me as soon as it getting interesting i can't download my turn :(

I m stuck on the screen "waiting for game info" (which is up for 15min now and after 2 try)

Do you have the same problem ?

agelian August 21st, 2011 03:23 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah it happened when I ended the turn which is annoying as I don't know if my turn went through or not :(

Umsolfunolanis August 22nd, 2011 04:13 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

For me the game crashes when it says 'waiting for game info'

agelian August 22nd, 2011 04:15 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah the server has crashed and until we can get in touch with gp there isn't anything to be done!

Bullock August 22nd, 2011 04:16 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah for me too.
Im doing my best to catch GP but actually he s invisible.

Bullock August 22nd, 2011 12:47 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Game is back on track (thx to GP)
You can now watch my undead armies invading your lands :skull:

I want also to mention that Ulm gave the first blow.

agelian August 23rd, 2011 11:16 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Hmm seems the turn died again.. not sure what exactly is going wrong.. but that was one fun battle.. half my mages just went maintenance free due to the ankh :D

also fire storm absolutely ROCKS!!

1600 dead isnt a bad tally for one battle..

Im going to cended this match to Bullock.. Ulm has taken fartoo long to put soemthing together to help against you and your territories with 1000's of undead will just swarm all over him.. ive got my one mega army which could go a few more rounds but youve just gotten too much time to yourself.. For some reason Ulm decided to go happy building temples instead of building armies.. but no matter I had fun and ill definitely consider rejjigging around that awesomeness that wipped otua huge chunk of undead :D

Bullock August 23rd, 2011 12:04 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yes the next fight should be awesome, too bad i need one more turn for a great spell. But it should remain very challenging :)

Get ready to see what his an Ermor army.
We are waiting for you at the same spot. :skull:

Umsolfunolanis August 23rd, 2011 12:06 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah, I guess its game over. And I should work on my overall strategy a bit..
But I also had fun. It was a great game.

Bullock August 23rd, 2011 12:29 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

yeah i did a quick turn sending some chaff on ulm's prov and preparing a huge def for Agelian :)

You will face only 15-20% of my army but 80% of my mages =p

Bullock August 24th, 2011 04:54 PM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Lol nobody came ? =p
Well i m coming then !

I m proposing to be the last turn unless some1 want few more turns or to finish it.

agelian August 25th, 2011 02:07 AM

Re: The rise of a noob god (Running)

Yeah pulled my batch of 40-50 statrets into the province :D and reloaded a lot of the big guns with gems :D last turn for a big bang!
