Hmmm llamaserver doesn't seem to want to send me my turn file, 24 hour extension please.

Is Atlantis having some sort of trouble getting its turns in?

tratorix August 16th, 2011 01:35 PM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Yeah, because I'm stupid and keep doing my turns, then forgetting to send them in. I'll try and get them in quicker.

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Also, Atlantis is interested in trading for nature gems. I have water, death, fire, earth and astral to trade. Anyone interested please pm me.

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Marignon is officially ending it's NAP-3 with Atlantis. It is turn 37 and Atlantis hasn't sent in their turn yet, so I am counting this as one of his 3 turns of warning. Attack orders will be sent on turn 40.

I sent Atlantis a PM early but I haven't received a reply, so I am posting here just to make sure.

So, I knew I was not very good at this game, but it turns out I was wrong.

I am actually utterly and completely terrible at this game.

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Well played Groundworm! Nearly choked me on my own medicine.. I knew it was going to be risky, but I think I needed every extra life from those mistforms to win this one.

Groundworm August 23rd, 2011 02:59 AM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

I think you're right about the mistform, vargr. As it is, I almost held against you despite your exceedingly large army. That Ice Devil turned out to be a very good investment for me- he almost single-handedly held the front lines, and lives to fight again!

Well played also. And that was a lot of fun to watch! :)

Nice battle.

If you had a little more chaff you would have actually beat Vanheim.
Well if you must go out, you go out with a bang!

Question regarding the Hall of Fame: Who is Orion, and why does he have 1000XP?

I am now officially beaten. Well done on holding out against me and Atlantis, AfroSquirrel. And to vargr, who was ultimately responsible for beating me: I hope I made you pay for victory. :)

Good game, all, and thanks.

Thank you, Groundworm. It seems that Gath plans to try and avenge your defeat, though...

You did. :) Nice fights to watch and valuable reminders of the power of well used battlefield magic.

Wow,

did I receive some *** whopping?

Great defense Tratorix.

Do you mind if I make a video of the battle and post it on Youtube?

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Well, after botching one turn and staling another, it's pretty safe to say that I'm on my way out of this game. I'll see if I can't take more than a few giants down with me, though.

Any word on that video, GFSnl?

Groundworm September 3rd, 2011 11:59 AM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

I'm sorry about the stale, AfroSquirrel. I've been keeping an eye on things, but I must have missed that you hadn't submitted a turn.

Do you want me to extend the turn limit? It's pretty impressive to be on turn 55 and still have 24 hour turns.

Do one of you who are still in the game want to take over as admin? That might make things go a little more smoothly. Let me know, I'm happy to oblige.

I'm out now. It was a good game, but I seem to have failed the diplomacy angle.

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Well, I'm done. I knew I should have rushed Jomon early on. Oh well, next time. Speaking of Jomon, you all really need to do something if you don't want him to win this. Good game all, was fun.

Nice,

all against poor Jomon huh :(.

Slobby, how do you cast Solar brilliance before battle without items? Is is something Gath is able to do?

Haha and I thought you knew! It's your firebird. Nothing like a big old pile of blind fighting 0att vs 0def I wonder if that means every attack is a hit. :)

GFSnl September 11th, 2011 12:29 PM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Ha, really. :o

I already though the bird was a waste of gems and I'd rather cast a Zmey with them.

Now I have to figure out what to do with 2 dozen blind mages and a regiment of blind vine men.

Apologies. But the vanir and aesir are really curious lot, and after months of scout reports from epic battles and exotic creatures they just had to go and take a closer look..

So... should we call this one a win for Jomon?

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Looking at the score graphs, it certainly looks like Jomon is in a superior position. I'll wait to hear from vargr and GFSnl, and if they're ok with declaring a win for Jomon, I'll close the game.

GFSnl September 29th, 2011 07:40 AM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Of course I'm okay with declaring a win for Jomon :).

It depends if you guys can dispel Enchanted forest and Gift of Natures bounty. Otherwise I can lose hundreds of units a turn and not even feel the difference.

vargr September 29th, 2011 08:44 AM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

I could have played on for awhile still, actually had quite a fun experimenting with the higher level stuff that MidgÄrd can do.

But I agree that we are not likely to win against Jomon, just can't inflict damage faster than Jomon can replace losses. And with the raiding, my blood economy is essentially shut down. I still have numerous stealth thugs in Jomon territory but I can't hope to keep any of the lands they might capture. And I don't think Jomon can't afford teleporting to them if needed.

So I'm not opposing to declaring the game. Thanks everyone and Groundworm for organizing! Had a lot of fun.

Groundworm September 29th, 2011 01:05 PM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

All right, the game is over. Congratulations to Jomon on victory, and thanks to everyone for a good game; I hope to play with you all another time. Good luck in your other games!

GFSnl September 29th, 2011 01:11 PM

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

Yeah, nice.

I had a great game with lots of spectacular battles. I have been lightninged to death (Midgard), Burned to death (Gath), Frozen to death (Atlantis) and just plain eaten alive by demons in the dark (Marignon) but in the end I had just enough advantage to prevail.

Tnx for the game and see you all in the next ones :).

Re: Faithless- LA game for intermediate players (running)

I knew I should have rushed Jomon early on, but then I saw how many forts he had and wussed out. Good game GFsnl, a well deserved victory.
