Re: Llamaserver troubles
There has been some problems with Llamaserver today.
1. Game, DreamsOfGhatanothoa's hosting was postponed automatically by 8 hours. 2. Player's turn was updated to the server only after two hours. 3. Force hosting command works unusually slow. Thanks again for running this awesome server! - Lihaässä |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
the game "fame and riches" didnt host, but it should have.
many thanks! |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Yes, there has been many a problem within last, say, 24H.

Re: Llamaserver troubles
All games are gone!

Hmm, they all seem to be back now!

Re: Llamaserver troubles
ShatnerMA (http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo.cgi?game=ShatnerMA) sent out turn 7 this morning (as was expected). Unfortunately, it currently says it is in turn 6 and won't accept the turn files that are being submitted to it.
Aside from asking for intervention by Llamabeast, is there anything I, as the game's administrator, can do to rectify this? |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
I'm having a problem with Randomocalypse, it's still on turn 8 and I'm trying to submit my turn but then I get an e-mail saying I'm supposed to submit turn 9. I know that the turn's not due for another few hours.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
delete the 2h file and resend/redownload/redo the turn?
|

OK my last turn submitted successfully, it just didn't reflect on the server. Something still seems to be wrong, though, as it claims our next turn is due in a few hours. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Hopefully I fixed everything last night. Let me know if I didn't (although I may be unable to do anything till Sunday night as I'm going away with my family).
I've discovered that recently if I don't reboot the server every week or two then it goes slowly mad. I think it's because of a memory leak in Minecraft (the llamaserver is also a minecraft server of late). |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
When I email my turn file into Llamaserver I am getting my usual "turn received" email as well as another email containing the following:
subject Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender mailed-by gator543.hostgator.com ... A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: llamaturns3@gmail.com (ultimately generated from turns@llamaserver.net) ... The email account that you tried to reach is over quota. This happens every time I submit a turn (regardless of whether it's a revision turn or not), regardless of which game I'm submitting to. The initial email as well as the Llamaserver site indicate that my turns are being received but I'm wanting to alert Llamabeast to the a possible problem as well as make sure that my turns are actually being received. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Got the same mail. But turns seems to be OK.
Llamaserver shows it as received. Edit: Got the mail for Randomocalypse (http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....Randomocalypse) |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Same here. Mail gets acknowledged, but I also get a bounce from a gmail address.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
I get those announcements also, but the turns sent in seem to work properly.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
OK, I can't seem to get llamaserver to send me the next turn. Maybe someone reset it?
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
In ShatnerMA, one of my players is unable to have his turn received by Llamaserver as part of the email issues. I've gone to my game's llamaserver page and verified that his turn hasn't gone through. This escalates this issue from weird to genuinely game-disrupting.

Re: Llamaserver troubles
Is this because llamaturns3@gmail has reached it's maximum inbox size of 7,638mb?
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
I just got the same message when I sent my turn in for Immaculate's game, but I also got a turn received message and then the next turn, which is rather confusing.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Same here. I get these errors:
" This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: llamaturns3@gmail.com (ultimately generated from turns@llamaserver.net) SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<llamaturns3@gmail.com>: host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com [74.125.65.27]: 552-5.2.2 The email account that you tried to reach is over quota. Please direct 552-5.2.2 the recipient to 552 5.2.2 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...py?answer=6558 i7si6528672yhe.26 " Notice the bold message. Looks like the mail get's there and I get a confirmation back but it could be just some grace until the quota would be enforced in truth. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Did anybody light the llama signal yet?

Re: Llamaserver troubles
A number of games have recieved all turns, yet do not seem to be hosting. Just a heads up in case people were not aware.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
YARG3 has:
1. quickhost on 2. "Next turn due: 21:18 GMT on Wednesday November 23rd " 3. Last updated at 21:41 GMT on Wednesday November 23rd Current time: 21:42 GMT Yet so far the combination of the three factors doesn't yield the expected hosting. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
We're having the same situation over in ShatnerMA and Immaculate002LateAgeNoobs. I'm the admin for the first game but I'm afraid to force the game to host after we've had two stalls caused by rollback issues and the server not accepting turns when they're sent in.
Maybe we should light up another Llama Signal http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...y_geans123.png |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Same thing with EA Game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo....Randomocalypse
Not hosting too. (One Nation would stall) http://www.llamaserver.net/gameinfo.cgi?game=Noobaclysm Detto, but all nations submitted their turn. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
llamaserver seems to be working again :D
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Lighting the Llama-beacon again. Llamaserver is stuck.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
:(
Llama, where are you??? |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
The email account that you tried to reach is over quota.
this is the error msg i got. hope it can be fixed soon. |

Woohoo! It appears that the server is updating and all games have had their turns extended. Thank you Llama.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
it tells me that all my turn submissions are somehow wrong.
EDIT: so i resubmitted but no response yet- hopefully they will be accepted. THanks lama for this service. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Llamaserver seems to be stuck... again... (After spitting back most of my turns as not being 2h files or some nonsense).
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
yeah, same here.
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Yep, I got a lot of weird emails too :(
Including one that says me I haven't sent my turn for a game that host in 12 hours. A game that I'm not playing... (QT3RAND) |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
MorlaMANoobs has received all turns but didn't host yet. No strange mails here.
Perhaps the server is just a bit busy after the problems? Edit: Updated again at 20:12, still no hosting. We three could do some diplomacy, while we are waiting here :) I am especially curios of an answer from Immaculate. Perhaps we can arrange for some Jotun-beating. |

Re: Llamaserver troubles
I resent my MorlaMA turn. I got an email that says "no 2h file found", and a email that says "VenganzaCaelum2 turn received" (which I do not play)
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Hi all,
Really sorry for this. I've got halfway through fixing it but it's got a bit complicated (has hosted a few games it shouldn't have) and I am very, very tired, so I will turn it off and finish fixing it in the morning. In the meantime many apologies for the inconvenience. llama |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Llama,
Thank you for all your efforts and know that they are appreciated. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Looks like the server is hosting but not sending turn files. Not even when manually requesting to send files.
I strongly recommend to all MP game admins to postpone their game’s hosting until the problem is solved. Otherwise all the players will stale in case there is hosting. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Thanks for the headsup Lama, best wishes to you!
|
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Okay! I think we are back to normal. :) Once again, sorry for that rather nasty outage.
Let me know if you come across any residual issues. |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Bravo!
And - thank you  |
Re: Llamaserver troubles
Thanks a lot for all the time you spend for us on this server.
:you: |

Llamaservers shows my file as being received for Man in MorlaMANoobs. I did not send a file for this turn. Probably no issue, unless I am the last one to send my real turn. |

Is stuck again?
Was waiting for a turn now at :17, but its stuck.... :( |
