What's your definition of noob? I currently have 2 games completed and in the mid-game of 3 others, although I have the feeling 1 of those is about to wrap up this week or next.

Would that be intermediate or noob?

My first game I only lasted a few turns since I took agartha with a risen oracle god and chose cold 3 scales based on the chill aura. By the time I learned what cold blooded and fatigue were I was R.I.P.

Admitedly, the other 4 games I've been doing fairly well in as far as I can tell.

How many games have the noobs done or is your criteria for noob 0-1 game?

Im fine with everything, but since I'm at the level of Exist(between intermediate and noob) its up to Bullock to decide wether he can take you on.:) (also what do you mean of more intermediate than expert - in terms of games played?)

Well i thought the weakest team could be nosantee's so i proposed him to get an ally. If he doesn't want one we aren't going to force him :)

So we are going as scheduled 1vs2vs4.

just for the case that people dont know how to join a game. You send an email to " pretenders@llamaserver.net "
with subject " Good_bad_ugly "
and attach your pretender 2h file to that email.

After you have created your pretender you can find the 2h file in dominion3 3/savedgames/newlords folder

I am posting this just in case that some of the new guys don't know how to(I didn't for my first game;))

The conversation was a little confusing since it looked like Nosantee was saying he was intermediate not expert and could use the ally and then you said you thought his team was a little light and could use an ally but wouldn't force one on him.

Did I misunderstand what he said when he said "useful ally" and won't disapprove?

Sorry my manner of speaking is sometimes very neutral!

I was saying that I wouldn't mind having a teammate and would gladly have Excist on my team. Either way, I am happy.

This would also be good in that if a noob drops out we will still have a person to replace with (Even though he's Intermediate)

Since I didn't see anybody object to Nosantee clarifying he wants me as a teamate I went ahead and made a Hinnom Pretender that I can upload as soon as I'm given the go ahead. It appears I wouldn't be holding anything up by joining his team ;)

I think some have been submitting pretenders but the server is down right now.
Who hasn't submitted their pretender yet? I know Cael, Nief, Form, and Arco have.

recon124 hasnt been online for like 5-6 days, wheres Legendary League was here yesterday so I think hes still in. So its ut to Legendary League, host and Excist to upload predenders so that we can get the game running.

Ah Llamabeast is back home and the server has refreshed itself

Now all we need is Bullock and one of the new people and we're good to go! (Even without the other new guy, a 6 person game would be great too)

I've been thinking...and even though the game has technically already started, I'm thinking that me being on the noob team might stack their team a little bit too much. I'm getting the impression that the skill levels of this game might not actually vary as widely as the description might imply. My 1 game with Nosantee I think I was playing at least as well as he was.

What do people think about this proposal:

Da Good:
-Nosantee / MA Arcoscephale

Da Good Intermediate:
-Excist / EA Hinnom

Bad Intermediates:
-Bullock / LA Abysia
-bbz / EA Fomoria

Da Ugly Noobs:
-Samoht / EA Niefelheim
-Legendary League / LA Ulm
-Vangard / EA Caelum

If people feel the noob team really needs the help then I'm fine with leaving the teams as is, but just throwing it out there that I don't mind being on my own too and creating a 4th faction.

It might be better to settle this on Turn 1 though, before people know who's where ;)

Yea I am fine with 4 teams aswell anything goes:) or what about we give a noob to nosantee? Coz if its 4 teams I feel that me and bullock might have advantage.(I might be wrong though:))

Another advise: When you are attacking some indies and you dont know who is behind it talk to eachother so that you make sure that two people of the same team don't attack it to prevent an army clash!! (and find out where each one of your teammates is on the map:) and make some general plan/strategy on how you are going to advance the map:))

Me either :) i failed at patrolling too.

For people who are playing last can you wait a couple minutes to get the new turn and do it? Turns take 1 min atm so it shouldn't be a problem.

Perhaps not everyone understands that there can be more than one turn completed per day, so long as everyone turns in a turn?

Ok lets make it more clear.

@ samoht: could you please take the extra 5 min to take your new turn if you are the last person to submit a turn.

Turns this early game , as Bullock said, don't take any of your time and if you take two turns you can appear at the end of the next one, but It gets the game moving quicker. I'd understand if you are not doing your new turn if you are waiting for some diplomatic communications with other players or for some real-life reasons but I'm sure that if you had some time to take the previous turn you can somehow find the extra 2 min to make the new turn, if thats not the case then there is no reason in always waiting to be the last guy to submit a turn, it annoys people.

As a side note, I never noticed the score tables link at the bottom of the game page. It gives the EXACT number of everything rather than just a vague interpretation of a graph. Income, Gems, Research, everything!

This... Will be useful. Needless to say, glad I'm sitting pretty on 817 income... Not so happy about the 0 research and 5 gems though. My map position isn't too happy either. Kinda a ****ty spot really but I shall make it work!

reseach and gems so early in the game don't matter at all:P But I wish I had your income:P
