And thanks for the full disclosure. I can deal with disagreements or people not liking me, as long as they simply make it clear. :)

P.S. I think Executor is a much better person and a Dominions player than me.

While, thank you!

Well, wotcha expect after taking Gath dude? Not cool... ;)

Well, I like giant races. I think I'm overcompensating for something ;).

Yeah, I do that because I cannot make other people feel all powerful and tingly inside. :P

How long did it take you to dig that up? Be honest please.:)

About 5 minutes, but completely worth it. Still makes me laugh.

Huh, go figure, you're in this one as well Soyweiser. Going at it, than trying to act civil and calm things down, than going at it again. :)

Anyway, I wouldn't mind going trough a couple of more threads of this type. We should really get a separate thread to post links to all the rest of this kind.

Yeah, I tend to do that. Attack, retreat and reorganize and attack again. Damn, with this part of my tactics know, I'm never going to win again. :(

Holy crap, Xietor makes a joke about the weather in New Orleans and the next thing you know there's 30 pages of global warming debate.

Thank you for this Soyweiser. I've only seen Norfleet so far (5000 gems by turn 23  ) but I intend to go trough the rest as soon as I can.
BTW, this thread needs a bit of update of course!:) 2 years

The thing is, Cal, when one thing is removed, sometimes unintended consequences occur. Without those vast ever-replenishing resources, I believe ***-asians have become OP.

#sigh# I guess I should have used the cool link thingy like you guys. :)

I laughed when you first mentioned it but I'm glad you posted the link because I had forgotten how funny the thread was, with a great line by iRFNA to top things off.

The other funny thing is Calahan is in the thick of things in that thread as well. Which brings me back to my idea of an "Ask Cal" feature. Does no one else see the potential in this?

Either this thread goes back on track AND the tone of that particular discussion becomes somewhat more polite OR this thread ceases to exist as a useful venue of discussion for anything due to being locked.

Is this clear to everyone?

If you guys want a thread that's just for posting links to old threads for kicks, knock yourselves out as long as it stays on a positive note. But don't derail this trainwreck any more than is necessary.

I propose a game over it.

Vanilla.

Put em up...

I'm reserving Helheim...

You haven't really been listening, have you? None of us is intrested in playing a game with gemgens anymore, so any challenge to prove anything with a vanilla game will, by definition, not be met.

Of course, if you want to grab Tigersblood and whoever else wants to play a game with gemgens for whatever reason, then have at it. No one will stop you.

Really you pick helheim when Nief gets upkeep free mages?

I'll pick Niefelheim.

LDiCesare April 22nd, 2012 09:30 AM

Re: Blood stones and MR

But Niefelheim can only build clams easily and he wants blood stones!
And most Skratti in werewolf shape don't even blood hunt more efficiently than Helheim cheap blood mages.

What are you talking about Edi? That discussion died off a week ago so there's hardly a reason to intervene and is it really *that* big a deal if this thread got a bit OT in the meantime???

Yeah, and the no upkeep bug has been fixed ages ago. I just wanted something to blame if I lost ;).

When I get back from the Va. clinic next week I set up a game, (for those interested).

Bwaha... :D

Sure, in that case I will chose Kailasa, as then I can blame monkey pd for my loss ;).

Re: Blood stones and MR

Somebody was wondering, if we play the game. What where we proving again?

(And will it be vanilla, or just hammer+gemgens modded back in?)

rdonj April 25th, 2012 11:16 PM

Re: Blood stones and MR

You won't be proving much of anything if it's just a random duel.

llamabeast April 27th, 2012 08:11 AM

Re: Blood stones and MR

If Bwaha wins I will obviously roll back the CBM changes so that version 1.93 will be just a copy of vanilla.

I think the idea was just a general game with gemgens. (I'm however wondering if playing with the awesome gods, endgame, and heroes mods might not be more fun. Or just modding gemgens back into cbm. (Which would break a few nations :D ).

Admiral_Aorta April 27th, 2012 08:46 AM

Re: Blood stones and MR

I think the goons have done a few games with awesome gods but with otherwise vanilla settings, so gem gens and hammers are still around.

Soyweiser April 27th, 2012 09:22 AM

Re: Blood stones and MR

Awesome Items removes gemgens, and adds new ones, research level 9, costing 20 gems. But each path gets a gemgen.

I think that's for the best llama.

Just think of how light your future CBM workload will be!

Plus any CBM complaints can be sent straight to IllWinter.

Win Win!

I also get my hammers back!

Win Win Win!!!

Do it.

Do it now.

The community commands you.

:D

maybe you should just roll back to dominions 2 because clearly they did things better back in the utopian past of 2003
