Dominic Deagan is another one i enjoyed reading.
http://dominicdeegan.keenspace.com/ quite sure the link was somewhere here already, ohwell, never hurts. Highly recommended by BUG lol. |
Re: [OT] phoenix-D, I\'M SUING YOU!!!!:) (unofficial comics thread. why not?)
already up. i should drop all the ones i collected into one post.
oh yeah. here. although i don't like most of the stories. if it's less than fifty Posts, ignore it. http://www.cityofheroes.com http://wallop.keenspace.com/d/20010803.html wallop. funny. http://videogame.keenspace.com/d/20020906.html um. for the same reason as the two with the mice. http://utlt.keenspace.com/d/20001002.html warning: may be offensive to wiccans, fur protesters, peaceniks and the sex-before-marraige-crowd. i couldn't get on the forums for most of yesterday, but i found 2 new good ones. http://cameraangles.keenspace.com/ manages to be funny despite the lack of a plot for about half of it. then the auther finds one on a quest. literally. http://dominicdeegan.keenspace.com/d/20020521.html read it. if he's not published, he should be. http://friedgreencomics.keenspace.com/d/20020110.html oh yeah, this one although it will probably funnier to those who understand 'old people' humor and ed kolis's web site has some stuff worth looking at i decided to post this one. for obvious reasons. http://bettermousetrap.keenspace.com/d/20020904.html i really must commend this artists taste. [Smile] even though i'm not done reading. [Smile] http://bettermousetrap.keenspace.com/d/20020910.html http://hardware.keenspace.com/d/20030225.html wierd, but funny. and somehow connected to geocaching, which i just found out about. and after that post and the next cartoon i actually spent about 20 seconds staring at wallpaper. people are sleeping in the next rooms:) don't laugh loud.don't laugh loud.don't laugh loud. [Smile] slighty better than this one. i didn't have to restrain myself and it gave me good views of my mousepad:). well, that and most times with yours i can't laugh out loud. hmm my mousepads getting worn. i think i can feel the increased oxygen to the brain affecting me. but if i stop breathing for about 10-20 seconds it goes away. i just got an addition to my sig. http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~gwtp/strip.php?number=1 all of mine [ June 29, 2003, 06:22: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |

Re: [OT] phoenix-D, I\'M SUING YOU!!!!:) (unofficial comics thread. why not?)
I'd like to give out free advice, to anyone who's thinking about starting a webcomic.
1: Do not use your own handwriting unless you get consistant compliments. *Big Problem. I don't know how many webcomics I've had to drop because, although they were good, or even great, I couldn't read some of the text or found it an eyestrain too.* 2: If you cannot meet #1, then at least a 10-point font, and get a friend to read any non-standard font to check for readability. *Font types aren't so much of a problem, but 8 or 6 point fonts can be as much of a problem as messy handwriting. Also, check to see if your server reduces image size. I don't know if you can do anything to get the larger image shown, but you could plan your comic around a smaller image size.* 3: Update regularly. Do not take unexplained, two month hiatuses. This means me. 4: And while I'm complaining here, http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif check your text for contrast with the background. That can mess up readability too.
