Quite possibly, although the horde of walking corpses must have helped.:rip:

Thanks for a good game, Lavaere. You did have me worried at times, and there were some tough battles in there. I've learnt a couple of useful lessons.

Well Aethyr, that was a blatant breaking of the NAP which you were so keen on.

I'd suggest that other nations in Helheim's vicinity to be extra careful - he can sail and he has far-ranging stealthy flying thugs with bodyguards. Particularly potent with a leader who disregards diplomatic agreements.

The emissaries and diplomats of Sauromatia, perhaps naive and unwise to the silver tongues of the Lord of Shadow, nevertheless do try to take great care in their penmanship. This does mean however that replies aren't always instantaneous, particularly when previous records have to be sifted through.

We stand by our statements.

We have reason to be aggrieved, and consider Helheim to be our mortal foes at this juncture, despite what seems to be an alliance with Oceania and Tien Chi. For those taking an interest, rather than consider us a 'mighty foe', we humbly suggest that you may also view us as strong, steadfast allies.

The simple facts are that you rejected our offer, and while we were still discussing "counter proposals" which we earnestly emplored you to consider, you took the territory that our offer was contingent upon.

You do indeed have reason to be aggrieved: you have under estimated us. We deem the nations of the land to be too wise to be deceived by your pathetic ploy. Through your naked aggression you have shown the wind. Now, the whirlwind comes.
