Everyone set for tomorrow?

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I can't play tomorrow. I'll be on the road going to visit my grandparents for the American Thanksgiving holiday.

Randallw November 22nd, 2005 02:53 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Does anyone else have thanksgiving stuff? I guess we should start organising if the end of year break is necessary.

Fyron has told me he will be available, so I'll just wait to hear from Narf or Violist.

I am available, don't have anything going on over Thanksgiving besides more homework... deadweek coming up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif

As far as I know, I'm available. Thanksgiving for Canadians is earlier.

Violist November 22nd, 2005 08:50 PM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Hmm... I was always under the impression that Thanksgiving was an American thing. What are the Canadians particularly celebratory of at that time?

Incidentally I had an ancestor who came over on the first fleet that colonised Australia. Of course he didn't have much choice in the matter.

I am unavailable for a little while. I'm putting up safety fences on our staircase.

I'm not sure if we are playing or not tonight... server is up at 71.130.87.221:6774 . No more directory listing.

Well, here's the log, for whenever Fyron wants to rename it and put it up on the actual website.

Edit: just learned that Fyron is alive, so.. his log is as good as mine.

Whoa, D&D. Yeppers, I'm ready for Tuesday. How's the fence going? No more staircase accidents, I hope.

I recommend an orange. Get well soon.

Apples, chicken soup, and a few genocides always make me feel better. Hope you get well soon, sounds like you've been having a rough life recently http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Randallw November 29th, 2005 06:15 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

I think we can forget about tomorrows game. My colds tend to least 2 or 3 days and I had a nap this afternoon and it still flared up afterward. I think we should plan for the end of year break. Are we going to leave it till christmass week or do some of you have to do stuff like go to relatives the week before?

Incidentally Violist I'm interested in why you think I've had a rough life. I get my colds regularly and about the only noteworthy thing lately has been my sister and her husband and little Gabriel (and me a PA fan http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif) moving in.

douglas November 29th, 2005 06:42 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Yeah, I think it's about time to break for the end of the year. Next week is Dead Week at my college, followed by Finals Week, followed by Jury Duty Week, followed by Christmas Week, then New Years, and then things finally settle back down. I have no idea how long jury duty is going to take, and I won't find out until the Monday December 19th. In any case, I'll be going home after finals, and I don't think my parents will like the idea of me installing OpenRPG on their computer and then monopolizing it for 3 hours to play D&D.

Randallw November 29th, 2005 07:03 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

You should do what I did. Contract a disease, lose half your healing and be permanently excused from jury duty http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Edit: I of course meant hearing. I blame too much D&D.

Violist November 29th, 2005 07:56 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Hmm... it just seems like so frequently you're having to attend to rather interesting duties... illness, children falling down stairs.. *shrug* Seems a lot tougher than mine of current dullness... except, as douglas mentions, deadweek and finals week. Might be because I seem to not get sick frequently... twice a year, maybe.

I'm fine with an end of year break now if that's what everyone wants.

Randallw November 29th, 2005 08:39 AM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

oh Gabriel didn't fall down the stairs. He just started crawling and we got the safety fences before he did something like fall down the stairs.

I can do the same time slot we had last, the 5/6 PM PST on Tuesdays, if that still works for everyone else.

douglas January 12th, 2006 04:13 PM

Re: Online D&D Gaming

Same here.

Oh, and for jury duty they just sent me home after the first day and never called me back. They only had one case to pick a jury for and they didn't even get around to bringing me in for individual questioning before they'd filled it.

I have been thinking. Now I can see that violist said he was available last week, yet he didn't play and there's been no word this week, and Narf says he won't be there. What I wonder is if it is worth bothering with only 2 people, Fyron and Douglas.

Sorry about last week... currently I'm sitting here ready to go, though, so if we are going...

explanation: Schedule has gone haywire... sudden class work along with Robotics and a huge concert on the 4th...
