Re: Online D&D Gaming
I need to confirm a strategy in SEIV.
Are religious talismans considered targeting sensors? In an asteroid belt with objects that interfer with targeting sensors will they be useless? Also in an asteroid belt that causes shields to be disrupted, are shields worthless or penalized? |

Re: Online D&D Gaming
I JUST knew that had to be the reason. It is for just such a reason I don't ask such questions.
ME: "In one of my games will I be able to destroy a sun while cloaked" Enemy in game: Oh, no. He's got sun destroyers !. ALthough I also give such advice I always feel I am hurting myself by helping a potential enemy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif |
Re: Online D&D Gaming
I like educated enemies. As it then forces me to think outside the box even more. We have faced each other before on the Paranoia 1 & 2 games and possibly some others. I can't remember which race you had in Paranoia 1.
I didn't like Paranoia 2 as the placement of homeworlds and galaxy map were subpar. |
Re: Online D&D Gaming
I have only ever been in one Paranoia game. I still have the files and they say Paranoia2, but I aint sure whether thats the game or my player number.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Wow it has been that long. I still remember hating the few guys who played D&D until I gave it a try and got hooked. Needless to say I have all the books from the first box set to 3.0. And this weekend my wife needs some office space and I have a feeling my collection shelf of books will have to move (another argument over the value of my collection).
GenCon is a bLast to see the costumes and unique levels of gaming that I have never aspired to. Having gone there on business twice I will have to take a trip for just pleasure and observe (with a digital camera of course) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif Tesco you should join us to play or observe if you are remotely interested in D&D. We meet every Tuesday 9pm-12pm EST. We are very close to finishing the first adventure: "Into the Bull Minotaur's Lair". The group is nearing the climax scene ... I have a feeling there will be more blood shed over the treasure than fighting the main villian http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |
Re: Online D&D Gaming
The interview with Michael Stackpole is interesting. As a teenager I was a bit resentful at being forced to go to church. I attribute playing AD&D to teaching me the virtues of faith and obedience to God (I must point out I do not think like other people). I have fond memories of playing the SSI games with my friend every afternoon.
