An observation: Star Wars II Attack Of The Clones is faltering at the box office. Not many poeple are singing its prase, and even less are willing to give it a thumbs up.
First a simple question... How many times did you see Star Wars I Phantom Menace in the theater? A fact: I saw SWE1 PM something on the order of 5 times in the theater. I found that I actually enjoyed it better than EP2 AotC. In talking to people, many of whom hated Ep 1, I have discovered that no one has seen Ep2 a second time yet. Not one person. By this same time after Ep 1 PM had been released, people had seen it 2 or 3 times. A thought: Perhaps Ep1 was just so new that everyone wanted to see it after a 20 year drout. Or Episode II stinks and people are totally uninterested in it. I have only seen AotC once, and have no plans on seeing it again any time soon. Haven't seen Ep 2 but Ep 1 suffered from the same flaw as most modern action and sci fi films. Lame story, No character developement, really cool FX. I think they spend a billion dollars on special effects and get the best script writers they can for a case of beer and a pizza.

ahh, I'm glad to see everyone dropping in and indulging themselves with some good old brewskis or two, "bartender bring me a ice cold brewski, and a small pizza, yells mac, as he puts out his gryphin pizza traps, (portable rose bushes) chains the pizza box to the table, puts up his feet, leans back and relaxs, sigh, will miss this old place, he thinks to himself as he contemplates the move to a new location. At least the fluffy bunnies are coming with us, Sigh, he sips his brew and remineces about all the shananigans that took place here over the Last several months, sigh........ Maybe it'll become an historical landmark he thinks to himself,

Mac comes back to his table after using the cantina's facitlities, what the...., hmmmm, mac mutters to himself, he quickly looks around trying to locate the gryphin, he sees Rollo over at a cornor table munching on something, probably a calzone, waves, then continues to look for the gryphin, he cks the rose bushes, nothing broken, no blood, hmmmm, The gryphin's not a round, that diabolicol pizza napper, probably outside somewhere eating my pizza.... Mac calls over a fluffie bunnie and orders another brewski and small pizza.. not this time he mumbles to himself, when the pizza arrives, he quickly looks around, then pulls out 2 bottles and puts Tescos hot sauce on half and Puke's sauce on the other half, then he sits back sipping his brew, ok gryphin, lets see how well you like digesting this pizza, he contemplates smiling to himself.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

1. actually won a game 2. got up to the semi finals 3. took down Spain, Portugal, Italy (And no, we didn't influence or bribe any of the refs.) 4. got further than japan 5. brought millions of dollars into the economy. The defeat is just a wee shame. |

Of the top names, The EEE & Whistle is my favorite. I like to get away from that US term Bar & Grill. Makes me think the patrons are belived to be to slow to know what the establishment is for.

In olde days in Britain, drinking vessels in pubs would have a small whistle built into the handle. When you needed more beer, you'd "whistle for it" That's where the term comes from. Also "wet your whistle"

All it takes is one person getting mad about the dumbest thing, and poof, game over. Put on the pout face and start the yelling screaming match. Like I said, I hate it. I'm similiar to Tesco, (thats scary), I try to live every day as it might be my Last, Yes sometimes the arguments and yelling are going to happen and its depressing, especially afterwords, but one must live with that as part of life's obstacles. The main thing is to be careful in what you say so you don't regret it afterword. Remember words can hurt and once said can never be taken back. Its hard when this happens, but you must learn to live with it, if you don't, then you are making it harder on yourself. Sometimes, what I do, when I want to yell or give a barb back, is bite my tongue and just walk into another room and mumble to myself, this doesn't always make you feel good, but sometimes is the best thing to do. However, I am not always successful and then the regret will set in, but I try very hard. I'm basically easy going and this does help and I try not to let it get to me.... I don't know if this helps, but, always try to have a good day, you never know when it might be your Last and then its to late and what's been said or done is out of reach.

Not I my friend. I enjoy every day. Occasionaly Tesco must cry ( like when Ray Bourque raised the cup Last year ) but most days Tesco's motto is F*&^ it two s**&^ in a bucket. and be very polite to everyone. And if I get mad, i go quiet and think out exactly what I am going to say so there is only a responce and not insults etc...
People need time to adjust to that style but it works ( so far ) I just figure in the day to day activities of life there is nothing to worry about. Because the bad stuff will jump out of nowhere and you will have to deal with them then. And have a good investment plan. |

Right, camera pans from outside left over battered cantina building. Camera pans back and shows mighty tigga, albeit battered, bleeding and very broke striding purposefully up to the main entrance
camera down shows inside the cantina, door is forcefully kicked open, and tigga strides in, looking herioc, powerful (and battered, bleeding and broke), fluffy bunny waitresses take one look at Tigga, look back at Saxon and Gryphin and run over to crouch at tigga's feet declaiming "how nice it is for a real man to be back etc". Tiggas say hello to everybody and gives everybody present of dried squid, save for fluffy bunny waitresses who get a good time. Phew, the Last month has been hectic, expensive but incredible. My hat goes off to South Korea and Japan for setting out and running and amazing world cup. It has been brilliant. I always promised myself I would go to the first world cup I could afford to. I cant afford it (this month has cost me about £12K) but it was brilliant. England's performance was excellent and overall, I am happy At least we were beaten by the team that is most likely to win the whole tournament.. sorry Esel and Rollo, Germany I feel have had an easier run than most to this stage (Saudi Arabia, an underperforming Cameroon, a plucky talented Ireland, South Korea (not THAT good) USA?) - England had to face Nigeria, Argentina and Denmark? not quite the same! Either eway, Sunday's match is going to be a good one You north americans should really get behind your team.. you have some good players, some good tactics and a real team spirit.. you also have some of the most jingoistic supporters I have ever seen as well as a couple of the most arrogant players I have ever seen (someone hit Landon Donovan), but overall, well done The laughing side of all this is that I am currently laid up home and on strict orders not to get out of bed.. unfortunately, my pc is downstairs and I can only get on it when the Swamp Thing is out of the house - she is currently getting her hair (or warts) done so I have this brief window of opportunity.. for those interested, I had a rupture whilst travelling which led to internal bleeding, chucking up blood and all sorts of nasties so I am currently lieing here with 8 stitches in mt side after what the doctor describes as "keyhole surgery". "Keyhole?" my arse, I thought keyholes were small and this doctor obviously has a house with a fist sized lock on the front door - I am waiting to get well and then will visit him with trusty swiss army knife and knitting yarn to show him what 'bumhole surgery" is c'est bon être revenu la maison mes enfants |

Tigga finally stops howling after Dogscoff has patted him on the incision. Whilst Dogscoff is in the loo, Tigga calls Acme Medical Supplies and gets them to airdrop (a la Bugs Bunny or Roadrunner) a large syringe full of Serum X, that famed highly powered chili based laxative. When Dogscoff returns from eating poos, Tigga persuades one of the Fluffy Bunny Waitresses to, ahem, divert Dogscoff's attention and whilst El Scoffo is dribbling at the Kylie-esque "Cant Get you Out of My Head" dance going on in front of him (Kylie wrote that for Growltigga by the way), Tigga proceeds to inject him with Serum X. Syringe is (safely and responsibly) disposed off, TIgga sits backs, watches El Scoffo beaming like a dribbling Dorset yokel and waits for the rumbling to begin.. It doesn't take long and with a frrenzied scream and sprint to the loo, we have ERUCTATION!!!! Having moved all available cash to an off-shore tax haven, Tigga eyes the Cantina and cannot help but feel a teardrop swell in the corner of his eye... "It was fun whilst it Lasted" thinks the Mighty Cat "but all good things must come to an end".. Luckily the Great Kat has planned for this very moment, little known to the other denizens of the bar, Tigga has buried 50 tons of TNT in the large vat of dogpoo outside the back of the Canitna and unless Dogscoff has really been eating lots of the chilli, there should be enough left to really raise the roof... failing which, there is also Tigga's own strategic defence platform in geosynchronous orbit over the Cantina and surely a combined bLast of gamma and x-ray lasers should be enough to kick off a suitable insurance claim?.. failing which, Mac has been steadily drinking nitroglycerine since he came to the bar and all we would need to do iss turn off his pacer [ June 29, 2002, 14:34: Message edited by: Growltigga ] |
