Tension
The tension in the mid continent is getting pretty strong. Not much room to move around, and not many indies left. I predict war soon, although LA Pythium will not start it.

Re: Tension
The drums have started. Thumping ever louder, they can be heard through the hills. They can be heard below the waves. Cave walls shake and smallfolk cower. The reavers from Oceana are coming, blood and steel mark the rising of the sun.
Too long have we Capricorns suffered the oppressive yoke of the Triton Kings. Too often have our reavers been censored for taking our birthright from the soft surface dwellers. No more, we say. The time of the Tritons is passed and the nation of MA Oceana lay claim to all to which we are entitled. Starting with the throne of Oceana and ending with the ascension of the new god. The protection of the Triton Kings no longer applies and all who dwell on the coast are now subject to the law of the sea. By blood and steel we will take what is ours, those too weak or cowardly to hold in the old way may appease reavers by holding gifts high and avoiding eye contact. The new era has begun, and the tide is rising. |

The bad thing for my triton boys is that those foolish Aboleths just broke the NAP3 we signed 1 turn ago and ally themselves with the silly Caprithings. Considering the fact that they will have to wait 3 turns before attacking me, that Caprithings already took several provinces of mine and that my army if far superior to R'lyeh soft meat, thus impeding them a fast offensive, just guess - who will take a heavy number of my provinces and who will collect crumbs - who will eat the other one after I'll be finished http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif That said, I keep some hope in my sacred fellows and we will see how expensive they can make that invasion. BTW, if any kind hearted people wanted to help my soldiers to fight for Universal Justice and Freedom, we will gladly accept gems, money, allies, whisky and hot babes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif Just send your gifts to EA Oceania, we won't forget. |
Re: Tension
Bah, there are no lack of enemies in Kingmaker that we need to make more out of our friends, and none can claim we have ever dealt unfairly with them. We take issue with your description of our ally's having broken a NAP with you - indeed despite our urgency in negotiations they insisted that they could not attack for 3 more months despite the inevitable difficulties this will cause. They did sense the changing of the tide however. Your attempt to sow discourse is hollow, for I invite all Kingmaker to observe how MA Oceana deals with their allies once the Triton Kings are slaughtered. I also invite all of Kingmaker to observe how we deal with our enemies, and offer appropriate tribute when reavers appear on your shore.

Re: Tension
While far removed from the tumultuous happenings under the waves we offer our best wishes to our cousins, the Capricorns of MA Oceania. Of all the creatures of the sea their outlook on life is most similar to ours, even though they do retain the naive optimism about the future we shared in our earlier days, but that has been largely abandoned now in the gloomy forests of LA Pangaea.

Tales From the Front: The Wrath of a Woman
Ormund the mighty Utgard giant had faced fierce blizzard dragons and ice trolls and slain hundreds of foes until the Arcos lass with the funny face tried to seduce him one night by the campfire. Her ways of love were too foreign for Ormund, who was used to women with more meat, more hair, and more “fragrance” and much less talk. Yap, yap yap - all night she spoke in flowery prose and her ballads of love confused Ormund, giving him a pounding headache. So when he grunted for the woman to be silent, she unleashed a series of bolts from the sky. Zap after zap, poor Ormund tried to dodge the uncannily accurate lightning, each bolt causing his warrior braids to stand upright in a smoky haze. He managed at last to strike the fey temptress down, but not before she stole his manhood (Battle Fright -5).
If you should meet Ormund, he will likely run away, but beware, every now and then if you talk too much it sets him off to morale 99. |
