Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies

Please forgive me Ruatha and Slick if this has already been posted. But I answered these questions today, and I thought you might, if they are not already added, like to add them.

QUESTION:
How do I make notes about a system?

ANSWER:
1. RIGHT CLICK anywhere within the small Galaxy map. (Map on the lower right hand side)
This brings up a larger Version of the GALAXY MAP.
2. Then click on any of the systems to activate the Notes.

QUESTION: How do I set automatic "move to" orders?

ANSWER:
(Part I) Setting Automatic Move To Points.
1. Click on the EMPIRE STATUS icon. (The Gold Crown Icon second row 4th from the left.)
2. Click on WAYPOINTS
3. Click on one of the numbers in EXSISTING WAYPOINTS.
4. Click SET (This will take you back to the System map.
5. Click on the system you want to have the Automatic Go To set in.
6. Click on the Place you want it to be. Can be any spot. Warp Point, Planet, Asteroid, etc.

(Part II) Setting order to move to Automatic Move To Point.
1. Open the Construction Que icon. (The Wrench 6th from the left on the TOP row.) Or open a specific Planet Build Que.
1 a. Pick a planet, then click on the Build Que icon. (Second row, 11th from the left, looks like a steam shovel.) This will open up that planets build que.

Once you are in the Planet Build Que of any planet you choose. (Provided it has a shipyard.) You can set the Move To orders.
2. Click the SET MOVE TO button. (9th from the top on the right hand side.)
3. Click the number that corresponds to your desired location that you want the ship to move to once it has been constructed.

NOTE: The que will send all ships that it constructs to that location unless you specify other, or clear the Move To command.

To remove a Go To Location entirely, repeat the steps in Part I, except this time click DELETE instead of SET.

To clear a planets build que's Move To orders, simply click Clear Move To. (10th down from the top on the right side.)

(Part III)
1. Choose a ship.
2. Click the Move To Waypoint Icon. (Top Row, 8th icon. Looks sort oflike a yellow triangle)
3. Click the number that corresponds to your desired location that you want the ship to move to

either 7.2.11b or 7.2.23

Race's characteristic - physical strength do affect troops but not militia.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies

Just done several tests to confirm this.

Modification:

8.3.1 Range and fire rate does not matter for troop weapons. All troop weapons are assumed to be fired at range 1 and fire rate 1.

16.1.4 URL (at end) should be changed to:

http://www.jeffleggett.com/devnull.html

Sorry about that. Just had it pointed out to me.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies

1.1.4.1.2
The damage amount is the percentage chance that a hit will cause the crew of your target to be subverted. 20 damage = 20% chance. Values above 100%, typically seen when using mounts, are rounded down to 100%.
If the shot misses, there is zero chance of subVersion.
Addition: Shields and Armour provide no defense
