A friend of mine who is a biologist says sharks won't actually eat humans. They'll take a bite out of you, then spit it out. We must taste awful.

I don't want you to think I'm making light of the matter... people are killed by sharks all the time. But (according to my friend) the sharks don't actually eat them, they take out a bite and spit it out.

Maybe your friend was talking abotu a certain kind of shark. I'm pretty sure Tigers will eat anything. Give me a few and I'll edit in some links to interesting "Look what we found in this tiger shark's stomach." sites.
