Bah! We should be so lucky. If you can send energy in the form of "sub-space radio" at FTL speeds, then you can make FTL weapons, and probably FTl ships too...although it would be neat to be able to bLast your enemy's planets from three systems away...

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Well, I don't know why, but for some reason even though James T. Kirk had subspace radio, it seems that kind of weapon never developed from it by the time of Jean Luc Picard. Maybe the frequency range just wouldn't allow it...go figure. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">hehehehe, but in a forum with people from many places... the "smiles" usually are a "must be".
Even the humour sense could vary in countries that in theory share the same culture.
An example: when I was working in IBM (here in Uruguay), was destined to a project where many Colombians were working (was not about drugs! and by the way, my wife is Colombian).
My boss started to say big things about my computer skills to the team members. He said so many things, that I stopped him to say: "Oh yes, IBM was looking for the best programmer in Uruguay, and finally decided that I was". Of course that it was a joke... but only after many months, a Colombian friend told me that after our first encounter, they believed that I had a BIG ego!! hehehe

Master was by "Master of Orion" (really loved that game!), and in the times when I joined to the SE community, everybody had pompous titles and giant empires (hehehe), then, decided that because I was Master in MOO many times, it would be a good title! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Well thats because most of the people playing SE Online were also into roleplay communities, where you are the leader of an empire, so need some sort of title...
