Do not forget to deploy those Mines, and build those Weapons Platform either! That is a presidential mandate!

I wonder if we will ever colonize Mars. I know I have said in the past that I think not, but Narf did make me wonder if it could ever happen.

"HEY LOOK A BUFFETT!"
Or "This is Col. Brubaker. That was one smooth ride. Would you not agree Col Willis and Cmdr Walker? Dr. Kelloway don't kill the children." |

From Marvin:
"I claim this planet in the name of Mars... Isn't that lovely?" Wildcard |
Re: OT - what would you say if you were the first man on the moon? or other planet/moon/*
i can't remember the qoute to well, but it was an old duck dodgers episode and he and marvin where fighting over a planet and it ended up with DD winning...but the planet ended up one little peice of dirt with a thread hanging down and Porky pig and Marvin where hanging on it.
DD and PP had a funny gag right there, but i can't remember it. anyway, that one. |
Re: OT - what would you say if you were the first man on the moon? or other planet/moon/*
If we were to colonize mars, it probably would be like it is in Space Empire IV: You have to first construct a ship, which delays industrial developments on Earth somewhat, and then it is sent to Mars.
Once the colonization of Mars begins, it would be time consuming, and would significantly drain resources. However, once the Mars colony is well established, Mars may begin the production of resources, and make up for the investment many times over in resources, technology, and population removal. +: Has major long-term benefits. -: A drain of resources until the colony can provide resources. |
