Re: OT: Matrix
The highlander movies aren't worth watching. Watch the two series, if they come out in your area.

Re: OT: Matrix
How bad does a movie needs to be to get into the Worst Ever group?
I would say that the disappointment factor should be the rule to judge by. Movies that we expect to be awesome but we come out of the theater extremely disappointed. If so, than my list of "Worst ever" would be: 1- Return of the King. I still can't get over that greeny stuff winning the battle of Pelennor fields. The battle was won in the book by the sacrify of the humans in Middle Earth, and it was won at the price of heavy cassualties. Peter Jackson completely missed Tolkien's message of the Price of Victory, which Tolkiens got from his experiences during WW1. 2- Matrix 2 & 3. I don't think they were totally bad, but they added several layers of confussion to the main history, as outlined in the 1st movie, and thus they were a big disappoinment. 3- Terminator 3. Another good 'Ahnold movie. I really hoped Arnold would play a negative character, like in the original. Just like in T2, the Terminator arrives to the present by walking into a bar, and kills a wooping.....ZERO humans. The only cool thing about T3 was the nukes at the end. That was......awesome? I would say terrifying. |
Re: OT: Matrix
The only problem with T3 was that James Cameron had nothing to do with the movie, as Gale Anne Hurd won the rights to the Terminator franchise after their divorce. Also, I don't know why they didn't get Eddie Furlong to play John Conner again. Worst movie, no. Disappointing compared to the other 2, yes. I'd rather have them go to the future and show John leading the revolution that let the humans win.

Re: OT: Matrix
You have to view the Last Highlander (and the series) as an alternate story. There's no continuity between the first three and that one. Make that the first two...I've Banned Highlander 2 from my memory. If I could cut the brain cells that contain that time from my brain...
I feel almost the same about the Matrix trilogy. First one is outstanding, the following two lack in a big way. Except that it's clear a Dragonball Z movie is entirely possible to make in a live action format. And Hugo Weaving is too much fun to watch. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif I liked T3's way of the bringing the story back to the beginning. I never bought T2's ending as making the world safe. |

Re: OT: Matrix
I liked Terminator 2 the best out of the three Terminator movies. It had the best action and the special effects with the T-1000 were outstanding at the time the movie came out.
