Sounds like an awesome time to be had. I will sign up before the end of the deadline. Although I will lose I might as well support PBW this way. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Not to mention every single participant gets a special SE4 intro screen available only to tournament players. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Is there the standard contest rule in effect about "employees or affiliates" (in this case basically anyone who contributed prizes or helped to build PBW or is helping to develop PBW2) being ineligible to join? I'm thinking I might just give this one a whirl, but then I *am* going to be helping develop PBW2... not to mention (not to toot my own horn or anything)being one of the "in-crowd" who will probably get a beta slot anyway... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

Gonna be a destroyer slugfest. Might as well handle the victory to Rex before we start http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

This isn't technically correct Slynky. Once you reach the 2000 limit on Paypal you have to become "verified". Being verified doesn't change the fee schedule at all, but it does require that you give Paypal more personal information about yourself and demonstrate that you have a checking account. I can understand people being hesitant to giving out their personal financial information. Heck, I won't even post my mail address. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif All I will say is that in my experience through PBW and with my personal account I've had no bad experiences with Paypal.

We no longer have the PO Box. It wasn't pulling in enough donations to be worth the cost and hassle.

Mac, I don't have a problem with you giving me your money at Origins. I will get it to Tesco.

Yes, I suppose you may be correct, Geo. I was hesitant to give out more info (in these days of I'Net theft) and I never went through the process...I think I must have assumed there would be a fee (or I misread something).

So, no PO box, no checks, I presume. Hmmmm, as much as I have donated to PBW, an entry fee to the tourney was like a free ride (assuming the entry fee was just another donation). Oh well, I'm sure I can find other games to keep me busy http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif .

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Well, I think Tesco is planning on accepting checks from people that want to join but can't use paypal for whatever reason. I think that's why he said to contact him personally for instructions.

As far as past donations, that's a good question. Tesco would be the one with final say, but my own opinion is that while your past support is greatly appreciated, the tournament is intended to be a PBW fund raiser. Letting people in on the basis of past donations would kind of defeat that purpose. Plus, while most of the prizes are being donated, I'm not sure all of them are, so there are some costs involved.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">The first round will be four games right? As long as we all agree to abstain from any admin type stuff for games we are personally involved in it shouldn't be a problem.

I am sure that I at least will not make the final round so I can resolve anything that comes up then. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
