Re: Favorite Game?
It's been awhile since I bought something from "the big boys". The only recent purchase (well, it was a Christmas present, actually, but I was the one who put it on my list! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ) is a game from Europe. It's quite buggy and the English translation is . . . novel. However, the concept is fresh and very interesting.
There are still a lot of good ideas out there! If you just look around here, you'll see a lot of them, in fact. It's a pity that more companies don't realize that and just try to redo past successes with remakes. Suddenly, I'm reminded of an article I wrote once about movie remakes and the big studio "Hollywood" system. Rather a lot of parallels, aren't there?
