I can box model pretty well, if I have time I think I can help with some modeling... even I'm not that great of a star trek fan, I can squeeze in a few original ST designs of my own, but as for textures you're on your own..

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

I can help too I guess. I can make some models. I have almost the entire july free so if I'm home I have time to do models. To show what I can do I made this little ship. Note it doesn't have textures yet.
U.S.S Excalibur

So what do you think about this one? It has about 1000 polygons so it will be about as heavy to render as the Terran starbase.

EDIT: Little update. I started doing the texture map. So far I've only finished engines and I'm now doing the saucer part.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

ok, wow this is so exciting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif .

First off, I like the Falcon model Exan. It reminds me of a type nine shuttle or a Romulan ship. Redesigned it could be the first Romulan model for ingame!

Second Exan again http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif , if you want a job and make it offical lol then let me know. I don't really want to except anything if your not on the team.

Ok on to the rest!

Longinus, ANY Help is appreciated! If you can't do textures !!HEY!! who am I to point fingers? Models is something I really need, send me a few samples (Dmart897@yahoo.com) and we'll talk.

Deadzone (And Homer... picking his nose?), Thanks for the info, Copyright is an evil thing! Anywho, I have a Tech Advisor (YO McGinness!). So unless something gets filled before then you got the run of the mill, so to speak. Let me know what you want to do and i'll see what we can do. (Dmat897@yahoo.com)

And Exan again http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif I REALLY like the Excalibur! But (I know I know) the Saucer section is a tad bit long and, the rear is a little wide, I really like the underside and the area around the Deflector Dish. The Nacelles are a perfect design, almost in complete harmony with TMP and PreTNG ships, but the body of the ship just screams DS9 Era. I love the blend Exan just not the saucer and the rear!!!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif !

Its Agent Homer wit one of them things the Secret service have in their ears http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

I suppose programming would be the best bit for me, seeing as all it involves is editing text files http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

If you want some systems, I suggest asking Exan as he has quick a skill for it

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

Well I can do some of the models. Modelling is fun but I don't like doing texturemaps so try to find someone to do them. I can also code the quadrant map since I'm pretty good at it.
TPM Quadrant map

Most of the systems and the quadrant map of TPM is coded by me. So I can do that too.

Thanks for the compliments regarding Excalibur. You may have noticed that I've taken some influence from Sovereign class. I too noticed the saucer section being too big. But it's easily scaled down. If you want you can use any models of Draco Yards in your mod.

My participation in July will be very limited however since I don't have school and not work so I have little reason staying home so I'm going to visit my family for almost the entire july. Mostly because of financial reasons. I don't have to spend money on food etc. so I think I save about 50-80€.

Maybe if I install starfury and 3dsmax to my second computer and take it with me I can do something. Laptop would be so nice. (but darn too expensive)

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

Exan, you sure your ready for such a big step as quadrant map? I'll need Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta Quadrants. That's over 300 Starsystems! But to be nice i'll have them split in to campaigns or something. And modeling is a big plus if you want it, don't worry about textures i'm sure I can find someone.
Thank you for Draco models, is that your site?

To everyone; Tell your friends to stop on by!!! Job openings available for the greatest Trek mod ever!!! Beta available at some point don't miss out!!!

OH!! BTW
I need someone to go over the sounds, dialogue, music, and ship classes currently available and tell me what you think. 3 or 5 people is preferrible so I can get a majority and a minority.
THANKS!!

You know, thats something

How many systems can SF support in one campaign?

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

I've got 196 with no sign of problems. The biggest issue is fitting them all on the map..

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

Over 300 star systems? Well that's pretty much. But I can do it for starters till you find someone else so keep that job open.

I can do atleast some of the models. It's pretty easy actually. I made Excalibur from 4 cylinders which I then altered to get the ship look like it looks now. It took about an hour or so. The texture map I've done so far took over 2 hours so I can really appreciate any help I get in that area.

As for regarding Draco Yards, yes it's my site. It has the ship models build by Draco Yards in the People's mod. Also their background decriptions are meant to TPM. But for little changes you can easily fit the ships to any campaign.

Re: Startrek: Starfury resurrected!

Well, here's something I whipped up in my spare time.
Javelin Class starship USS Brunhilde...

I guess you can call her the new Miranda class, it's basically what I imagine the Miranda would look like in the Voyager era. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

It obviously needs a few tweaks...
